Dd (almost 4) is obsessed with animals. Massively obsessed! We were in a toy shop recently and she fell in love with the Little Live Pets puppy but it’s £55 and doesn’t have that good reviews. I’ve seen the FurReal pets too which look similar.

Are there any other similar toys I can look at which are maybe a bit cheaper or have better reviews for the same sort of price?

My dn who's 6 loves the Lucy dog. So much so she wanted to buy another when hers broke.she wanted the Lola too.

Quite reasonable and b&m sell them.

I want the little live puppy too Blush so cute. Think its got a bit off in Argos at Mo but still expensive.

I looked at the Lucy dog but the live pets puppy is just so much cuter in comparison! I might have a look at b&m as it will be worth getting if it’s a lot cheaper. Thanks

Sorry to interject but are these the dogs that walk? My son would looooove one so I’m really keen to hear about them too.

I think Lucy walks a few steps and barks. Best bet is to have a look on YouTube at Lucy and little live pet.

If you are not already a very customer they have the little live pets on and you usually get a 20% discount for opening an account so you could get it cheaper that way.

I've been watching the little live pets a couple of weeks and cheapest I've seen is about £49.

In b&m they had an elephant and a dolphin that might suit your child s needs? Think dolphin is called blubu or blublu something like that.

The elephant is called lolly the elephant. Very cute too.

The thing which puts me off with live pets puppy/kitten is it doesn’t stand up/do any steps at all. It just lies down and moves it’s head etc. I think she would like a walking one maybe!

Little live pup is just like a puppy though! Soo cute!

Id avoid the Lucy dog for younger children because it is voice command and very picky on what it does respond to which can be frustrating.

We have the fur real and the little live pets and they serve different purposes (which I realise is a ridiculous assertion outside of presents/toys). The fur real gets played with more because it walks and it's always popular with visiting children. But the little live pet is more a cuddly toy with added extras. We picked it up half price, I'm.not sure it's worth full price but it is very cute.

You probably shouldn't listen to me though because they have an actual dog bed!

We have lots of these. Three girls under 7....

Chad valley at argos do a walking dog on a lead that barks. It's around 15 and very fun. Wags it's tail and walks. We also have a cat from argos chad valley.

We also have jo jo my jumping pup fur real. It was crap and not worth the 40 I spent on it. We have blu blu my baby dolphin that was 35 and has had some reasonable play. I have just bought fur real charlie pup in cost co for about 25 and seen it argos it's 60. Wouldn't pay that for it but seem ok for 25.

The best one we have by far is star lily unicorn again this was dirt cheap in Costco around 65 last year and over 100 in argos. It says loads of phrases has a very cute face and responds to talking. It has a light up unicorn and wings that flap.

Oh pom pom my baby panda is awesome he walks and comes to you for a bottle. Recommend him also. He's been thrown off bunk beds and is still going strong

Thank you so much for the replies! So helpful! I was looking at starlily as it’s £65 at John Lewis at the moment but I’m not sure if she would prefer a dog or a cat. It looks amazing from the video though. Will look up all the suggestions thanks.
