Shop Recommendations for Awkward Relatives and Unusual Gifts

Would it be useful to have a thread with unusual/ quirky shop recommendations as we all seem to have at least one difficult person to buy for?

I've found Etsy generally great for finding things related to special interests, hand crafts and unusual bits and pieces.

Trouva are not cheap but definitely worth a look for the style conscious

Lisa Angel have free worldwide shipping and beautiful packaging so I will definitely consider them if I'm sending gifts abroad next year

Can anyone remember what the name of the flower subscription service was that posts them flat through the letterbox every month?

The literary gift company here are great for book lovers

On my phone just now but bumping this as I want to post some links when I get home and I also want more ideas. It's a great idea for a thread, very useful.

Thanks for the Lisa Angel recommendation! Can I choose something wrapped as a gift to be send abroad - so the recipients doesn't see how much it cost?

I loved the Qwerkity suggestion, thank you.

People may have come across themselves but I like:

//www.wickeduncle.co.uk

//www.firebox.com

m.iwantoneofthose.com

I'm on my phone so not sure if those worked as links.

How about anthropology or Oliver Bonas... they do things that you don’t find in every other high street store.

www.bloomandwild.com/

Bloom and wild are the letterbox flower company and I've always found them to be very good.

I've also used the Cheese Shed for cheese subscriptions. Also excellent.

I've found that museum shops are great. The V&A is great for unusual gifts and so are most other major London museums - most are online

Funnily enough the National Trust shop have some things that could work. Bought MIL a lovely scarf from there last year.
