No, not the classics (Elf, Grinch, Santa Clause) I mean the reallly cheesy American ones that come on Movies24 or channel 5 in the afternoon? Made straight for TV and often with a actor before they made it to the big time.
My festive guilty pleasure.

Proper rubbish, but ridiculously soppy and festive - love the lot of them grin

I love these films!! So cheesy and you know it's always going to have a happy ending. I'm planning a child free Christmas wrapping day watching these!!

RussellTheLoveMuscle Thu 19-Oct-17 16:27:21

My favourite one has Dolly Parton as an angel sent back to help a dysfunctional family over Christmas grin

GinYummy Thu 19-Oct-17 16:27:31

me! they make me feel all warm and fuzzy (and a little nauseated)!

PodgeBod Thu 19-Oct-17 16:27:52

It always feels so Christmassy with some complete cheese going on in the background. It's very soothing to know there is going to be a happy movie I find.

Oh goodness I love these. Never get to watch them with 2 young kids but may record them and watch in the evening while I’m wrapping or something. I’m sure DH will love being subjected to that!

Me! My favourite is Dashing through the Snow.

I love them. We have moved and don't have Sky anymore. I am really going to miss Sky Christmas channel. My favourites are "I'll be home for Christmas", "The Christmas Card" and the one with the phantom golden retriever that brings two childhood sweethearts back together.

SP00KYLilBucket1 Thu 19-Oct-17 17:04:41

I love them!. Have already started watching them, although I don't think they can ever beat polar express!. i love the Dolly Parton one!.

oldmissmort Thu 19-Oct-17 19:02:35

Channel 62 on Freeview is called Tru Christmas and has been on since October 2! You may need to retune TV to get the channel. Brilliant for a 2 hour ironing pile! I like to watch them early as it gets too busy near Christmas. Btw - most are really naff but irresistible.

marmiteloversunite Thu 19-Oct-17 20:00:34

Thank you oldmissmort! I will re-tune immediately.

shakemysilliesout Thu 19-Oct-17 22:03:06

They are amazing!! Love at the parade is already on demand 5. Can't pick a favourite....joking it's obvious the Christmas shoes!! I love that they are always so earnest. If you love these movies they you may love will ferrel in 'a deadly adoption'

marmiteloversunite Thu 19-Oct-17 23:10:41

I have re-tuned and found Tru Christmas. Yay! Thank you oldmissmort!

Chottie Fri 20-Oct-17 03:27:43

p.s. True Christmas is channel 74 on my Eyetv

blacksmiths09 Fri 20-Oct-17 05:55:10

Movies24 turns into Christmas24 as of tomorrow (Sat 21st) 🎄🎄🎄

OhtoblazeswithElvira Fri 20-Oct-17 05:59:53

Haha I love them, too grin you know there won't be anything scary or upsetting on them. I watched one with Tatyana Ali on it (Ashley from Fresh Prince of Bel Air) knowing it was rubbish but thoroughly enjoyed it grin

IheartNiles Fri 20-Oct-17 06:20:59

Love them! Favourite is the one with Baby from Dirty Dancing who goes on a road trip with a widower and his daughter to get to her Christmas wedding and finds out her fiancé is shacked up with his male assistant.

Have avoided these like the plague but following such glowing reports I’ll have to see what it’s all about! Netflix has a few too.

OutComeTheWolves Fri 20-Oct-17 06:59:47

Oh I love those films. The year I was on mat leave in December, I watched loads - at least one a day during ds's nap.

The best is snow globe Christmas starring the guy from scrubs and Alyssa Milano.

ParadiseLaundry Fri 20-Oct-17 07:26:13

I came in here to say Snowglobe Christmas! It's bloody awesome! I watched it last year and have been thinking about it all year, hope it's on this year again! Although is it Alicia Witt you're thinking of? Unless there is another one!

OutComeTheWolves Fri 20-Oct-17 08:27:07

Yeah she's the main one - I couldn't remember her name! Alyssa Milano is the guy from scrubs mum/Christmas fairy!
I'm glad I'm not the only fan - it's amazing!

Dee03 Fri 20-Oct-17 08:33:37

Omg I love Christmas movies grin
Wonder when they'll start on Chanel 5

RussellTheLoveMuscle Fri 20-Oct-17 14:53:32

Ooooh SPOOKY that Dolly Parton film Unlikely Angel is on True Christmas channel at 11 am tomorrow!
