My parents still talk about the one they received in 2014! It still completely puzzles them (I've never come clean it's just too funny that all the family still talk about it).

I'm not sure if there are many people still around who did it. I've got a friend called Janet who is a MNer and it pisses her right off Grin

I set mine all up ready to go and my MNer never sent it to my knowledge
I'm right in the Midlands but used to have lots of family in deepest Wales so anywhere around there would've been fab

CatThiefKeith did my mum the funniest one ever Sad
My mum was absolutely baffled, I was in stitches. CTK had completely fooled her, asking lots of questions about work/family/pets etc, brilliantly written.

I'll partake! I've sent them before and would happily do so again -pm me if you'd like one from West Sussex!

I’m happy to send one too Grin if anyone still wants one?

We have no family and have never been West Sussex way so I can’t think of a connection to there...

I would have loved to read CTK’s Janet and Roy, I bet it was fantastic! She always did have a super way with words

I have no idea what this is...

Explanation please!

Stuckinthehouse its a random Christmas card sent to someone you know, signed “Janet & Roy”. MNers can send each other’s friends & relations cards to baffle them.

OMG I so want to do this to my in laws - I'm in Cheshire - anyone want a card from there and do a swapsie? (I can get cards that say they're from my local villiage on too - Brucie Bonus!)

So tempted to do this to my in-laws too. But I'd be useless at writing one.

I’d love one for my sister in law, I’m in Surrey & happy to give it a go.

I would love to do this, but I’d have no idea how to write it - is there a basic ‘script’?

Aw i wrote some a few years ago and got some sent to family- best one was sent by a Canadian mumsnetter to dB and sil who promptly panicked about these people they’d met on holiday coming to visit! Was hilarious! Though fb instantly guessed I was behind it but kept it going!
If you search on mn for Janey dvd Roy I’m sure the old ones will
Come up!

Oh I'm in! I was thinking about this the other day. I can send one from Scotland if someone wants to send one for me Grin

We’ve got a family gathering in December my SIL would freak if she thought Janet & Roy might pitch up, especially with photos from Roy’s Guernsey diving board accident 😂

Anyone want one from Somerset?

Bryna · 19/10/2017 19:34

I'm happy to send one.

I'm in the West Midlands. Caravan and motorhome country.

Roy and Janet would love to bring the photos from their latest caravan tour of Normandy.

Oh my god this sounds amazing! Can I have an example of what the card might say? Grin

Report
Seti · 19/10/2017 19:40

It's not a card it's a round robin letter. I always do these, I love it! I sent three last year to MNers parents Grin

Happy to do one from London. I'd love someone to do one for PIL .

It’s a letter from Janet and Roy that explains what they have been up to for the past year, what their children have been doing (and disappointing them with)
Scandals from the caravan club and Roy’s health issues.
