I have no idea, so any suggestions welcome.

OP posts:

Whatever their older sibling is holding at that moment in time if you live in my warring siblings world.

Ecureuil · 17/10/2017 20:00

Mine likes Duplo, her scooter, play doh, doll and pushchair, colouring...

Mallowmarshmallow · 17/10/2017 20:01

When not fighting over aforementioned items, the only thing my daughter really plays with is a baby.

So, on her list is baby accessories. She loves pretending they are sleeping so a cot, bottles, pushchair, highchair etc.

I’m also eyeing up the happyland school bus as opening and closing and putting things in and out is fairly popular at the moment.

Ladydepp · 17/10/2017 20:02

Bath toys like stacking cups and boats. Giant cuddly toy.

gybegirl · 17/10/2017 20:03

Duplo. Playdoh. One of those pretend pushchairs. Bath toys.

Although it was quite a long time ago that I had to worry about that ageWink

TittyGolightly · 17/10/2017 20:03

Same as 2 year old boys, mostly.

Ecureuil · 17/10/2017 20:05

Oh and the toy kitchen. Nearly 4 year old still likes the kitchen too so it has longevity.
Having said all the above, I have no idea what to get my 2 year old girl for Christmas as we have everything from our nearly 4 year old!

Emerging role play is big at 2, so doll/pram, tea set ( one which all goes back into a bf tea pot it's good), very simple dressing up things, hats/shoes/bags.
Books are always good.
Mark making - either something like aquadraw or IKEA do lovely soft chunky colouring pencils and a roll of paper.

snotato · 17/10/2017 20:09

Mine likes:

Minnie mouse toys
Frozen toys
Teddy bears
Disney films
Tea set
Dolls
Play doh
Farm yard animals
She also likes her brothers dinosaurs and toy cars with garage.

WisestIsShe · 17/10/2017 20:10

Most 2y/o love music toys as well, although this is less popular with parents Xmas Grin

WisestIsShe · 17/10/2017 20:10
  • big teapot. No idea what a bf teapot would be!
NerrSnerr · 17/10/2017 20:12

Mine loved Brio, duplo, anything Peppa or stickers.

Fixed it for you OP

wobblywonderwoman · 17/10/2017 20:13

I would really recommend dressing up clothes. Melissa and Doug ones are worth the extra cost. Loads to choose from.

Ecureuil · 17/10/2017 20:14

Yes to dressing up clothes and role play. And tea sets.

KatharinaRosalie · 17/10/2017 20:15

Mine likes dinosaurs and puzzles. And one horrible singing doll.

Merrilymerrilymerrily · 17/10/2017 20:16

Peppa Pig, scooting, duplo, drawing, stickers, play food (esp the kind with Velcro that you can cut), putting things in bags, cars and trains, dinosaurs

OuchBollocks · 17/10/2017 20:16

At 2 DD was mad for any plane, bus, car, rocket etc that had doors that opened and closed and you could put the passengers in and out. She got the Peppa plane for Christmas last year and still plays with it. She also got a few Thomas bits and loves those too.

BettyOBarley · 17/10/2017 20:17

Happyland!!!

Still gets played with at 4yo.

Mainly the fairy cottage.

PhuntSox · 17/10/2017 20:21

Another vote for Happy Land!
Also books, especially rhyming, and puzzles.

Nan0second · 17/10/2017 20:24

My 2 year old likes:
Kitchen and pretend food
Happy land train set
Scuttlebug (even though she's too big for it now)
Doll and pushing a pram
Jigsaws
Books
Very cheap plastic wigwam "den"
Playing hide and seek
Matchbox cars

My DD loves her happyland pirate ship, books and dressing up (particularly hats)

Scotinoz · 17/10/2017 20:28

Mine likes enormous tweezers. I got them from Amazon for a couple of £.

Loves moving pom-poms, conkers and glass vase bead thingies in particular between various receptacles. And tweezing her sister.

ginteresting · 17/10/2017 20:29

Paw patrol tat (mainly the Skye character)
Dressing up and role play, there are some really good little boxes in boots at the min Dr/police/fireman kits.
Fisher price little people
Paints/crafts
