I'm working a night shift on Christmas night. I'd normally have some champagne on Christmas Day and would like some non-alcoholic ideas so I still feel like it's a treat?
Spam me with your ideas! grin

I saw an advert for a non alcoholic distilled drink the other day I thought looked intriguing, but I’m afraid I forgot it’s name.
I will look.

Sipsmith. It's alcohol free gin & meant to be very good

Tesco Finest Alcohol Free Chenin Blanc. Wouldn't know the difference!

I make mulled apple juice, just add: cinnamon sticks, cloves, a slice or two or orange (or apple), a star anise and heat in a pan.

My dad makes me proper mocktails, I love it.

Fentimans Rose Lemonade, if you like rose flavoured things obviously.

Has to be Shloer at Christmas!

Not festive but I am trying to lose weight and have become addicted to cawston press rhubarb and apple sparkling water. It is amazing and I don't miss having wine or gin at all

There you go! I would like to try it as many non alcoholic drinks are too sweet & I think it might not be.

Flowerpower321 Tue 10-Oct-17 19:10:24

The non alcoholic 'gin' is seedlip, there's a herby one and a spicy one, both very nice. I also like fentimans rose lemonade and belvoirs winter drink- (punch? There a cordial too).

We have the Marks & Spencer Sparkling British Elderflower Presse it is delicious

Mulled apple juice or mulled cranberry juice for me at Christmas

noramum Tue 10-Oct-17 19:50:24

We sometimes have this for parties where we know people come by car:

A bit on the sweet side, def no processo/champagne replacement but looks nice in a champagne glass and a bit different to Sloher and Appletiser.

Sloegin2 Tue 10-Oct-17 19:57:49

Oh brilliant, thank you!
Some lovely ideas - I love fentimans Rose lemonade and I think I'll treat myself to a few other suggestions too!
Am going to take a few bottles into work too; I'm a midwife on delivery suite Christmas night so a nice drink to wet newborn Christmas babies heads wine

Belvoir does a nice non alcoholic mulled wine as well
It’s also nice cold.

Sorry. blush mulled beverages are my thing

Sloegin2 Tue 10-Oct-17 20:04:13

Ooh. I'm all for mulled beverages! Love Belvoir, I'll look out for it grin

Unicorn81 Tue 10-Oct-17 20:44:27

Oh yes belvoir mulled punch is nice.

SnowBallsAreHere Tue 10-Oct-17 20:45:27

Seedlip not sipsmith blush

Butterymuffin Tue 10-Oct-17 20:46:22

Schloer blush

OyyVeyy Tue 10-Oct-17 20:59:04

When I was pregnant I drank that Sainsbury's non alcoholic sparkling wine at Christmas - it surprisingly nice! smile

reetgood Tue 10-Oct-17 21:05:42

It is really hard to find non alcoholic 'fancy' drinks that aren't really sweet. Speaking as a pregnant lady who doesn't really like fizzy pop.

Seedlip is on my list to try. Brewdog nanny state is a good, hoppy low alcohol beer. Co-op do no alcohol cans of g&t which are surprisingly palatable! The only way I've got on with echo falls no alcohol wine is to serve with sliced fresh peaches, strawberries and ice. It might work as mulled wine...

Nigella has some interesting looking mocktails in her Christmas book. Unfortunately, I'm far too cosy and lazy to get up and walk the 10 metres or so to the shelf in the kitchen to have a look. I can see if they're on her website though. I suppose I can spare some finger taps for a good cause.

MrsStinkey Tue 10-Oct-17 22:22:52

Following as I'd like some alcohol free alternatives just for weekends and things. I'm a lover of white wine and always find the non alcoholic drinks disgustingly sweet as I'm not really a juice/pop drinker.

SockEatingMonster Tue 10-Oct-17 23:57:55

Thank you for that mulled apple juice recipe @AnonEvent, I can't wait to try it. I'm a huge mulled wine fan, but alcohol-free wine seems to be one of my migraine triggers and there's a limit to how much of the regular stuff I can/should drink.
