Lovely house stuff -where from?

First christmas in our first proper house and I'm really looking forward to it. We get a real Christmas tree, but I'm planning on buying a particularly 'naice' something every year to build up a very wonderful collection.
First on my list is a lovely garland for an empty shelf. Or possibly two.
Where would you lovely people recommend? I like a more traditional luxe look.
I quite like this but I think I want something fuller: www.thewhitecompany.com/Rosemary-and-Pinecone-Christmas-Garland/p/WGHRP?cm_mmc=GProductFeed--UK_ALL_GO_TWC_PLA_GEN_Old--christmas-_-WGHRPNNX&ProGrpCode=AR100&gclid=Cj0KCQjw9afOBRDWARIsAJW4nvxaYLj4175UFlnFRhePV_oCqUMtAossR2wXhKrpZT2JUT-eUJ1SoLIaAtJ6EALw_wcB

It's gorgeous, buy it quick. I hesitated as it is quite pricey then it sold out really fast, so I had to wait another year to get one. I bought another last year for my other fireplace. For the stairs I got a cheap one from amazon and added pine cones and white company starry lights.

Is it that good Polo? I might have to call in to the shop after work, I wonder if they have their Christmas stuff in store yet?

Is there a proper Christmas market near you? We go to Chatsworth House one every year and buy one thing to add to the decorations. There's always amazing things.

The White company one is lovely and a great one to start your collection with. If you want it to be fuller you can pad it with other things you buy and add to it. Then this makes it personal to you.
I have a good one ( like that) which I got twenty years ago which lasts and lasts.
I have also bought some - quite cheap frankly- thinner green stuff which I use to wrap round my banisters. I have about 50 feet of banisters which you can see from the entrance hallway. So I wrap that round, then add lights then colour themed decorations, which hang between the spindles. ( I have to say it looks gorgeous . The only downside is that I want to sit in my hallway for all of December just looking at it!!)
I almost wish I was starting ky collection again! I have SO MUCH stuff but most of it has meaning so I can't bear to throw any away.
Keep looking and if you see other nice things then please post! I'm off to look at this Cox and Cox site..............although hubby has threatened divorce if I buy any more Christmas stuff/ cushions/ throws/ lamps / bedding!!!!!

Itchy - start off small, not too ' in your face' change the bed and he will never notice! I don't put any decorations up in our bedroom apart from some lights in window but I LOVE my Christmas bedding. It feels so snuggly. My daughter nearly wet herself with excitement when I got her some last year. And then when I buy new the older stuff gets moved onto the guest bedrooms. Even if nobody has been invited!!
You are not nuts. You are just caught up in the whole utterly glorious time which is Christmas. Enjoy!

Itchy what's the Chatsworth Christmas market like? Do you know how long it's on? I'm hoping yo go this year - never been before- but I have been offered free admission ( long story) and so thought I would go to see the Christmas decorations. Although I will probably stagger out crying , feeling utterly devastated at my - comparatively- badly decorated house!

Oh my goodness, we are going on a roadtrip in November that includes Chatsworth House, I didn't even think about Christmas decorations there! I can't wait now!

I think that White Company one might be mine then. Next year, a German pyramid...

I've never been in the house but the market is lovely. It's on from the 17th of November till the 5th of December. They do have Christmas themed stuff going on at the house though so if you're taking a trip it's worth looking on the website.

Just recently discovered Matalan Christmas stuff. I like the look of the wrapping paper sets. I used to get mine from BHS so I've been at a bit of a loss.
