Christmas

What do you want for Christmas?

Just a little thread discussing what we'd like for Christmas (if anything).

I only ask DP for specific things, no-one else. The only thing I can think of at the moment is a bottle of Chanel perfume; I've not tried it but reviews look good- anyone tried the Coco Mademoiselle? Blush

What are you hoping/asking for? Smile

I would love a gel nail kit and some nice gel nail polish, have asked OH so fingers crossed!

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 24/09/2017 21:49

Idris Elba. Wrapped in a nice red bow.

Santa, this is the fourth year of asking nicely... Angry

BeyondThePage · 24/09/2017 21:51

an hour of peace and quiet.

Everyone else takes the dog for a walk after lunch - I sit, feet up, Baileys and Lindt chocs.

I ask for it every year, and I'm a lucky ducky - bliss - and it's cheap for the kids to get me!

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 24/09/2017 21:52

Really, though, I'd be happy with some new art supplies.
(Charcoals/ chalk and good quality pencils)

Fancythat69 · 24/09/2017 21:52

I'm asking DH for Nike air max trainers for the gym, Starbucks voucher and a flight simulator experience. He always buys me new pjs, smellies and nice bra and knickers sets so the above is just what I've specifically asked for.

I've got the coco mademoiselle perfume it's lovely 😊

PortiaCastis · 24/09/2017 21:53

A hunky rugby player will do me !

Mugshotzforlunch · 24/09/2017 21:55

Some nice new bedding. Good stuff.
I bought cheap ones 7 years ago when we moved in to tide us over and after been washed once a week for 7 years they're now threadbare and very faded.

conserveisposhforjam · 24/09/2017 21:56

New ski boots. Which I will buy in the sale in march ready for the hols in April Grin They are going to cost eleventy billion pounds...

SuperBeagle · 24/09/2017 21:59

Nothing this year. We'll be in the UK on a holiday (from Aus), which is good enough for me!

As for Chanel perfumes, not a fan of them in general. Dior makes much, much nicer perfumes.

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 24/09/2017 22:01

DH & I are hopefully getting a spa stay as our joint present for each other.

From family, boring as it is all our household stuff is decidedly shabby (and mostly cheap) - towels, bed linen, crockery, etc, and we never quite have enough spare cash to prioritise 'nicer stuff' over 'stuff we desperately need to replace right now', so I just want department store vouchers to upgrade a few things.

Harriedgymmum · 24/09/2017 22:05

Some help in the bloody kitchen would be good 😊

fruitbat2008 · 24/09/2017 22:10

I've been asking for Idris Elba too Thalia no luck here eitherShock

RJnomore1 · 24/09/2017 22:18

A craft light for my dark living room corner
Chanel allure
The Dior Christmas palette
Cherry red docs
The Robert Webb book

BeatriceBeaudelaire · 24/09/2017 22:21

A Standard Issue Supplies pen.
Some GAP breathe knickers
Christmas decorations ( first xmas in my own place).
Some beautiful plates.

littlecabbages · 24/09/2017 22:23

I’ll ask for what I ask for every Christmas, birthday and Valentine’s Day Grin

A Hermès Kelly bag please!

(Yea it’s never going to happen)

littlecabbages · 24/09/2017 22:24

I got a posh camera for my bday so I might ask for a short photography course so I can actually use the bloody thing Grin

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 24/09/2017 22:25

I'm planning on treating myself to a Lush gift box and maybe some Sennelier oil pastels

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 24/09/2017 22:25

The wow box from lush. I asked for it 2 years running and didn't get it due to cost (completely fair enough).
I'm dead easy to buy for though. One of the few people who loves smelly shit from boots

BikeRunSki · 24/09/2017 22:28

New bike wheels. Really light ones.

cottonwool125 · 24/09/2017 22:41

A lovely, fluffy dressing gown, and a new purse.

The dressing gown I own at the moment is a white cotton material- great for summer, but not so nice and cosy for winter! My purse has been broken for a good few months now, but haven’t gotten round to replacing it. So it’s going on the Christmas list Smile

Audreyhelp · 24/09/2017 22:44

Just for all my problems to go away .

Ozzde · 24/09/2017 22:47

Pair of running shoes or new clothes.

I'll not get them unless I buy it myself, no dp here.

If I could have anything I wanted then it would be:
FENTY beauty makeup
PUMA basket hearts in red
Rainbow/unicorn sparkly Dr Martens
New clothes

Of course I won't be getting any of this and have told DM (when she asked) that something small like a Boots 3 for 2 gift will be nice enough.

I don't get any other gifts as I'm single, DS will only be 3YO and sisters are all still quite young (school age). I also don't do gift swapping with friends because I can't afford to gift back.

So for now all my wants will just remain in online baskets as a wish list Grin

womanbehavingbadly · 24/09/2017 23:07

@littlecabbages the Year With My Camera books by Emma Davies are amazingly hellpful and better than any course!

I really want a photoshop book but it's £45 for one book which is pretty expensive. Oh and a tripod and a remote shutter thingy.

ThaliaLuxurySpa · 25/09/2017 05:26
