ideas for 3 year old girl please

Yeeyeelovesraaraa · 21/09/2017 23:47

DD turns 3 just before Christmas and I'm really struggling for toy ideas for both birthday & Christmas, that will last her the whole year through.

We already have a toy kitchen & play food, baby & pushchair, wooden train track, playmobil , duplo/lego, balance bike & scooter.

Any suggestions welcomed Smile

Mine does too but I'm so excited about it as 3+ toys are so much more fun (although she has some already).

DD us loving her till and shopping trolley at the mo but we will probably be getting her something like Sylvanian Families as she's just getting into playing like that properly. She also like Star Wars so that will feature some how too.

What does your DD like?

outdoor toys for summer (sand/water/sports)
bath toys
dinosaurs
books

My dd likes playing with little figures in her dolls house.

I'm struggling for my 3 year old girl too. One thing I am getting is hungry hippos game, we played it at a friends house and she thought it was hilarious.
I have an older daughter too so have lots of the usual suspects already and am mindful of not buying for the sake of it whilst giving her an impressive pile to open on xmas day!

Yes! Dinosaurs. Santa will get a few for the stocking. All those play animal figures are now of age too. And hot wheels etc.

DD is the same age, I’ve already bought and stashed away a couple of Mr Maker art and craft kits. Will probably buy some glitter and paint too
Will probably regret this by New Year’s Day

Dd was 3 last Christmas and her favourite presents were her toddler princess doll (hers is Sofia but I'm sure she would have been happy with any Disney princess) and a range of dress up clothing.

I think what you have is quite a lot already. Maybe some dolls clothes, accessories etc to go with the baby & pushchair?

Chatoyant I also have a 7yo DS so we have loads of toys/games etc already & likewise don't want to buy for the sake of it.

MiddleClass a till is a great idea thankyou she could pair it with her kitchen & tea trolley to play shops/cafe.

She also likes sylvanians but I kept all mine from when i was little so she has those already. Its so hard to think of stuff we haven't already got, in one form or another!

She likes Thomas (tank engine), Peppa Pig, Tangled, Frozen & Moana, playing with playmobil/happyland/lego & drawing. She also loves riding her bike/scooter. She's not all that bothered with dressing up yet (though does like to wear her brother's iron man costume sometimes!) She likes brushing & styling my hair too - thats all I can think of at the moment!

DD also likes her toy guitar and keyboard.

Very big on puzzles.

Stickers are a winner for a small item.

As pp said, playdoh and craft sets are popular here.

thanks to everyone else for the replies/suggestions too Smile

tigercub yes we do have a lot already. Blush mostly thanks to older sibling & big family! We have a sand/water table & a trampoline already too, both of which she loves using.

She eyed up the disney princess toddler dolls last time we went in disney store so thats a good idea. Plus orchard toys games too.

wobbly am going to look at the melissa & doug dress up sets now. Her brother has loads of dress up stuff but its all too big for her & very super-heroey so maybe her own dress up box could be good. She's not that fussed yet but that may well change over the next year.

Great ideas folks, keep em coming! Wink
