So, what beauty advent calendar would you recommend this year?
(43 Posts)I had the Selfridges one last year and had been really looking forward to it. Although there was some good stuff in there, it was generally a bit disappointing for the money and I wouldn't bother again. Can anyone recommend me a really good one?
I've loved the Liberty one.
I seem to remember that one being quite pricey. Was it worth the money?
My friend sent me this last week.... hope it's helpful!

I like the look of the Amazon beauty advent here
Thank you ladies!
Ive bought the Asos one for DD, she really liked it last year.
There is another longer thread running here about beauty calendars with lots of links to reviews etc. I'll see if I can find it to link.
I’ve purchased the John Lewis one and think it looks great
I need the Liberty one again this year
I kept the lovely box from last year and am filling it for my Sister for Christmas
I like the look of the Harrods one but it is very expensive (think £300 ish)
Here's the other thread

Rituals, already on sale. More of a bath and body than beauty though. No7 one looks good
I'm after the m&s one although could be swayed by amazon once I can see the contents!
Last year I got the l'occitane one and it was ok but I found it a bit boring as there were loads of very samey things in it and they were all so tiny. I wanted the sanctuary one this year, much better value for money and nice big products- but they aren't doing it this year!
Just don't get the Zoella one. £50 for a cardboard bauble, a tiny confetti packet and a cookie cutter??!
fluffy I agree. I was quite excited by it then watched a YouTube video and thought WTF?? £50 for 12 things that look like they’ve come from Poundland. Pretty shocking imo
I second Rituals...looks so good!
I loved my L'Occitane one last year. The Liberty one looks gorgeous but is a bit beyond my budget.
Have a read of this for some inspiration!
Some more here which i came across while looking for something else.

It shows the wrong year on the link but if you click on it it IS 2017.
If DH doesn't cathch the hint about the Liberty one this year, I'll give up and buy my own from now on.
Am so sad - have just checked the Boots website and they're not doing the Sanctuary calendar this year - it was FABULOUS last year.
<Weeps>
I bought the £42 Occitane one for a friend last year. They loved it. I have bought the same friend the Rituals (£59 one, not the £70 one) one this year. Budget was no more than £50 but I couldn't see one I liked enough. Hoping she likes the Rituals one as much as the Occitane one.I think the basic Occitane one is really good value. Lovely products imo.
Is M&S doing its beauty advent calendar this year? not on its website yet.
Clarins was poor last year so avoid that
What's the best advent calendar for a teen? the £45 Body Shop one is out of stock already ['hmm]
