Hi all. Thinking of booking a slot at the chessington grotto this year. Any reviews from people who have been before or tips. Is it worth it? Is it horribly busy? Should I book a later slot to make it more magical? And is there enough to do if you went for the day at ten am and waited for a four pm slot or not?
Any advice great thanks

We've booked to go. It sounds good and there are rides open as well so it should be a fun day. I think they also have a good weather promise so if it rains you get your money back.

Yes I thought it looked good. Thanks. Think I'll give it a try. Wondering if you can spend the whole day though or maybe just half.

I think booked for about 10.15 as thought it would be going dark by 3 any way. There's only a small selection of the rides open but I think there might be a few other things going on (biscuit decorating, meet the gruffalo). We thought the price was pretty reasonable for what you got.

We've been to Chessington for a couple fo Christmas visits. We usually stay in the hotel as they have other things going on in there too of an eveing. The kids enjoyed the Grotto visit and they had a few small cabins selling decorations/hot chocolate and I'm pretty sure mulled wine too and other bits and bobs. Obviosuly they have the reindeer there too which is nice. They do usually have a few of the smaller rides open and they have a new animal carousel this year. There is enough to do wth the animals and sea life centre too until about 3ish I'd say.
Enjoy
