What's on YOUR list this year?

I don't think I'm remotely difficult to buy for.

I don't want anything big or expensive. I like:

* earrings with hypoallergenic posts
* amusing tea towels
* hand cream
* cotton scarves (outfit scarves, not winter scarves)
* Christmas tree decorations
* Harry Potter / Sherlock / Doctor Who (etc) subtly themed things - last year I had a pendant sonic screwdriver
* Woolly Hugs yarn

DH thinks I'm impossible to buy for, and he is always asked to make very specific suggestions, so for the past couple of years I've just maintained an Amazon Wishlist from about this time of year onwards.

I'm starting it now and was just wondering what other kinds of token (<£20 and preferably <£10) things you like to receive at Christmas.

TheWoollybacksWife Mon 18-Sep-17 14:00:55

I do have one ££ thing on my list - a silver fingerprint necklace with a charm for the fingerprint of each of my children but if it doesn't happen for Christmas then I'll ask for it for my (big with a zero) birthday next year.

The rest of the list is a couple of books for my kindle (actually would be happy with an Amazon voucher), some Boots No7 serum and a wool warehouse voucher. Chuck in some Thornton chocolate mints and I'll be chuffed on Christmas Day.

MrsHathaway Mon 18-Sep-17 14:20:00

Amazon voucher would do me just lovely so I could clear out some of the rest of the wishlist after Christmas!

Chocolate mints are a good shout: I've added violet and rose creams because they're my absolute favourite and nobody buys them otherwise. DH is fond of a good Bendicks though <scribbles>.

I want a Kelly Kettle this year - for going camping (and having fun cooking in the back garden some times!). That is on the ££ side though.

I know what DH wants - we had a conversation over the weekend about it, and I had actually put it on my master budget/gifts spreadsheet on Friday before we ever talked!!

TheTurnOfTheScrew Mon 18-Sep-17 14:28:53

Decent chocolate, green and black's preferably
New stud earrings - just cheap ones as I can't seem to keep a pair for longer than 6 months.
Lots of paperbacks - The Underground Railroad, The Haunting of Hill House, The Ashes of London amongst others.
Mugs from this collection to match the two I already have.
Some new tumblers as our are all mismatched.
Costa voucher

MrsHathaway Mon 18-Sep-17 14:33:36

That kettle is pretty but we use EHU grin

Those mugs are really lovely. I have a big Cath Kidston and would love others - the nearly-a-pint ones. On the list!

AtlanticWaves Mon 18-Sep-17 14:34:12

Absolutely no idea.

Unicorn81 Mon 18-Sep-17 14:57:14

skincare £80
Chocs £5
Pjs even though i have 500 pair
Then im stuck possibly dollars for hols next year

BiddyPop Mon 18-Sep-17 15:33:07

MrsH I don't do enough camping to justify an EHU - it's me on annual Cubs Camp (why would face serious scorn!), and me and DD having a 2/3 night "girls adventure" every year- and not much else. Can't persuade DH back into a tent at his age in life😅

I usually have a list of books that DH gets from me. Last year I received 28 in total. Was rather happy.
This year it's again books but he needs a specific list because I was specific editions of them. He's getting good at kerning and listening about them though so this could be a normal list soon.
Other things on my list include tights, dresses, whatever wacky stocking fillers he's going to get me, a Christmas jumper and a pair of pyjamas.
But he's also reserving money for the sales so we can spend more after as well. I love a good bargain.

I have one of those dp's who wants to get me something amazing and thinks that the things I ask for aren't good enough. The things I actually bloody want! Last year he wanted an idea for me because my sister asked. I wanted a vase. They both agreed this wasn't a good present! So my sister got me a jumper I don't like. Luckily after I complained to my mum both her and my other sister got me two amazing vases which I love!
This year I want
*The illustrates version of Chamber of Secrets
* Wool Warehouse/Love Knitting Vouchers
* New bedding
* A shoe rack for the hallway

Brittbugs80 Mon 18-Sep-17 15:59:51

I'd like some red Lotta from Stockholm clogs but won't get them as they've been on my list for a few years! DH asks for a list then never buys anything off there as he thinks presents should be surprises!

I'm always happy with box sets. I'd like the Gilmore Girls boxset and I've just got series 1 of Where the Heart is so I'd like to finish that.

DeadDoorpost Mon 18-Sep-17 16:03:38

@ItchyFoot CoS or PoA coz that comes out next month. Either way I hope you get it coz the illustrated books are stunning and PoA is on my list. If I don't get it DH knows all hell will break loose as it's my favourite one

FireflyGirl Mon 18-Sep-17 16:09:57

I'm hard to buy for because I never want anything. This year, I want:

Sparkly Converse (bought off the bargain thread)
New perfume (bought off the bargain thread)
Box of Malteasers (bought from Wilkinsons last week)

Then I would like a new dress for Christmas, and that's pretty much it.

DH will buy me more, though. He always does.

BellaGoth Mon 18-Sep-17 16:11:34

I'm asking for the cash to pay for the Men B jab for my son. Very dull I know.

If I didn't need that I'd be asking for baking supplies.

PandorasXbox Mon 18-Sep-17 16:15:52

Georg Jensen trilogy ring - preferably with diamonds.
Chanel handbag. Either would do grin

girlsyearapart Mon 18-Sep-17 16:18:14

britt I love your post! I know lotta smile

FormerlyFrikadela01 Mon 18-Sep-17 16:20:32

Illustrated copy of prisoner of Azkaban. Other harry potter relates stuff.

I really want the WOW box from lush this year but it's £250 so not likely.

MrsGotobed Mon 18-Sep-17 16:31:22

I rarely have any ideas about what I want but this year I've already decided that I want to upgrade my fitbit to a Charge 2.

AhYaBastart Mon 18-Sep-17 16:50:59

Top of my list is fluffy towels! Would also love black Converse, bedding and some bath bombs smile I do prefer giving to receiving tbh!

Star2015 Mon 18-Sep-17 16:54:20

Hmmm...

- A tin of quality street
- Some matchmakers
- I'd like the book 'life changing magic of not giving a f**k'
- I like to receive nice shower and bubble bath which usually sees me through most of the year
- a candle - Yankee or d like to try White Company
- pyjamas
- socks

I don't think you're fussy from your list!

Brittbugs80 Mon 18-Sep-17 16:59:24

britt I love your post! I know lotta

I have a dark purple pair bit desperate for the red and they are so comfy! Might have to give in and get them myself!

Penguin27 Mon 18-Sep-17 17:31:22

I usually never have an answer when people ask what I want for my birthday and Christmas (close together), so this year I've been making an effort to think about it! So far, my list is...

Small bottle of Chanel Mademoiselle perfume
Ugg boots
Leather andbag
Chunky knitted scarf
Lush bath bombs
This M&S jumper - http://www.marksandspencer.com/cable-knit-turtle-neck-jumper/p/p60134524?image=SD011_T3878022_S0XX_EC_90&color=GOLD&prevPage=plp
