Great presents for the men in your lives...

Hello!

Trying to think about gifts for my DP, my Dad & my brother! So I was wondering what were the best gifts that the male of the species in your lives have received in the past...

I've asked my DP & he has said National Trust membership, a Spicery subscription, an Alessi Bottle Opener shaped like a parrot, a frame for a vinyl record, a mini tyre inflator compressor thing.

My brother coveted some Star Wars Golf Balls from TaylorMade,

Both my Dad and DP I bought Paul Smith wallets for about 10 years ago & they are still going strong.

My Grandad has loved his weather station.

So I'm wondering what have been popular gifts for the men in your family?

Books, posh walking socks, a particular brand of Cypriot brandy that I can never find until January!

I love posh walking socks!!!

I give the significant men in my life an engraved leatherman multitool for significant birthdays - DNephs all had them for their 18ths, DBro for his 50th, DH for his 40th.

These informative mugs go down well too, for the type of people who have everything. You can have messaged put on the handles.

DH says that his AeroPress Coffee Maker with Tote Storage Bag [[https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0018RY8H0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xMhNzbDVRJ3GG?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-21 Aeropress]] is the best present I have ever given him. (And completely selfless because I don't drink coffee]].

Record player. Best gift of last Xmas. My DS has started buying vinyl too as it's readily available again. You can get decent ones for 50 quid

DH loved the L'Occitane gift set I got him last year.

Dh loved his dolce gusto coffee machine a few years ago. Last year he loved a picture I had made of him and ds. It's a caricature style picture of them wearing each other's footie tops (they support different teams).

Yes to lego, my dh (who claims to be a grown up) was batting his eyelashes at me regarding the lego Christmas village and steam train sets last night.

I'm done with belts/hankies/tie pins for him now, so lego, a wholesale sized box of mars bars, new book and bottle of brandy it is.

Sundaylunchhappy you have just sorted the Christmas present for my DH - he loves Lego, he loves steam trains. Thank you!

My pleasure ScrunchyBook I feel like the more we fret over personalised golf balls and leather wash bags, the further we get from what (in my case) men really want!

I can't abide "men" gift sections in the shops. Surely men don't just want steering wheel covers etc??

PS if he commutes, get him a nice photo thermal mug for taking a coffee on the train
