Is anyone setting any Christmas Goals for this year? I'm working towards a 'cash-only' Christmas. I've never managed that before but so far so good.

I have to set a proper budget and start squirreling some bloody money. When I worked properly I used to get a christmas bonus and that paid for it, now I am a freelancer, no chance!

Yay, new thread!
I worked out a plan in January of how much I was going to save each month for Christmas, I'd have about £700.00 by Christmas. I have saved the grand total of 0! Xmas Shock Xmas Grin

I also dream of retirement Biddy but I am in my mid-twenties, so I assume I won't retire till I am at least 85

I moved house a month ago and can't WAIT for Christmas Grin

I'm going to craft the shit out of everything. I've got 10 foot ceilings so I'm going to have the largest tree possible. I've only ever had cottage seven foot ceilings before.

And in the January sale I bought everything Cox and Cox had that was Christmassy. All stashed in the worlds biggest Christmas cupboard.

MovingtoParadise that sounds awesome! My friend stays in a converted church so they have room for an EPIC tree! You'll need a million lights but it will look sooooo pretty!

Happy bank holiday weekend! Anyone got any plans?

We have to go and get M some shoes today as she is toddling about properly now and her first shoes aren't really good enough.

Other than that I may spend the weekend cleaning and tidying!

Best start now, Sprouts! 😂

My DDs are too old and too set in their ways for me to give them different stockings now. DS wouldn't care Shock I'll have to save my crafting for my still to be conceived grandchildren. I really fancy cross stitching them. If I start now would my DDs think I was putting pressure on them? Grin

Hello all! A second thread so early in the year. We are doing well.
It is peak birthday season in the cooking household. I have just had mine then it is the DCs' ( big birthdays this year), followed by A Levels. On the plus side we will emerge from the madness just in time for Rudolph Day in June.

What was that post ^^^ that got deleted?
Must've been a Selling Type Post , we've had plenty of people telling us we're MadderThanABoxofFrogs Xmas Grin

June Rudolph Day is the start of it for me , DD will be 15 Xmas Shock and already planning her presents (never mind that my birthday is a couple of weeks beforehand )

DS will be 18 in December so our Festivities will be busy this year (and ££)

I bought my DC new stockings last year (eBay bargin, LED lights) because they're presents are small, few and ££ as teens, so I needed some nice little Stocking Gifts to pad it out .
They certainly weren't too old to accept the new (or they just went along with it for a quiet life Xmas Grin DS is probably counting down the Christmases till he can escape from me and my Christmas Madness)

I spotted a set of battery operated led lights yesterday which are DDs name, so I will go back for those during the week when she's not with me.

We're sitting in a sailing clubhouse waiting for a decision about wind and whether sailing will happen today. DD is very excited as it's her first event, DH is looking around and realising we have a few years with a LOT of hanging around ahead of us (and we both need to come to lift the boat on/off the car). I am starting to think about what crafting projects might be usefully transportable to work on 😂

I've picked up some more bits recently. The three minichips have personalized stockings but they are quite small so I'm just thinking of knitting them myself to have more space 😂
