This year my 3 and 1 year old have basically shared everything! The 3 year old was more interested in the presents and the 1 year old in the paper, so I wouldn't worry!

I'd say amount of presents. They have no concept of money. Not that the one year old will be sitting there counting the parcels either!

Equal number of presents. As they get older they will just count them!

Number of presents. They have no concept of cost

At their ages I don't think they have much concept of money or announts of presents. I had a one year old and three year old last year and they just shared and enjoyed presents.

My DC were just 4 and 18 months this Christmas - no idea of the concept of money although we tried to give them the same number of presents roughly. DC1 actually got a bike as an extra this year so technically not completely fair but DC2 was too young to care and loved all his stuff.

Number of presents! Young children do not know the value of items.

DS1 (5.5 yo) - total £30
DS2 (4 yo) - total £88.50

Equal number of presents. My dcs have never counted them (eldest is 9) but I feel better if I know they have the same!

I think next year the one year old wouldn't notice unless there is a huge difference and the child is nearer 2. Even then I would surprised.

I have a larger age gap (7 years) so my oldest got a smaller pile but more expensive stuff. She is 12 so totally gets it as she picked most of her own stuff. We just go for money spent.
