Mother Christmas can now relax, the stealth and the hushed voices are done and we have been visited by Father Christmas for 2016.

I do love it all, but scared bloody stiff I wld wake DD2. But I think she has got away with another year believing. Phew!

DD1 also loved being my elf. Xxx Happy Christmas all... Have fun delivering yours.

SweepTheHalls Sat 24-Dec-16 22:02:44

He's been here too. Mission accomplished fsmile

ScarletForYa Sat 24-Dec-16 22:03:29

Yes, dd asleep. Everything ready!

I'm totally paranoid that she's going to wake up! 👀

imip Sat 24-Dec-16 22:03:33

<sigh> dd3, who is 6, thinks she can tick santa into delivering her presents while she is still awake.

Gonna be a looonggg night here!

imip Sat 24-Dec-16 22:03:46

Trick, not tick!

soontobemrsmckeown Sat 24-Dec-16 22:04:00

Been here to just the stocking to put outside her door on my way to bed. What do you do about elf is it tonight they disappear?

busyboysmum Sat 24-Dec-16 22:04:12

Yup we're done here. Big boys wanted to set the scene for the little one before they went to bed...

DragonitesRule Sat 24-Dec-16 22:04:27

Still waiting for the little fuckers to go to sleep....aaaargh!

gillybeanz Sat 24-Dec-16 22:04:32

midnight for us as dd is watching a film now. She's 12 but I still like it to be a surprise.

cheekyfunkymonkey Sat 24-Dec-16 22:05:37

Presents under tree, Santa's goodies eaten/ drank but we'll leave stockings until we go to bed (just in case), ho ho ho!

CotswoldStrife Sat 24-Dec-16 22:06:54

Nope not yet (although there may still be some wrapping to do, tbh) as DD has gone to bed early, but can't sleep fgrin

CharleyDavidson Sat 24-Dec-16 22:07:02

Nope. Not after the year that DD1 had a bad dream, came down upset and shouted out, with wide eyes "HE'S BEEN!" and we had to usher her back to bed and convince her she was dreaming.

To be fair, the DDs are now 12 and 16 and usually fall asleep much later than I do these days. But are far more reliable at knowing when they aren't allowed to come back downstairs!

Their stockings are hung on their doorknobs so I can 'deliver' them as I go to bed whether they are asleep yet or not!

He's been. although about to go rearrange the gifts to look more aesthetically pleasing. Stockings done and DH is busy eating Father Christmas' treats.

NoCapes Sat 24-Dec-16 22:10:59

No, Ds1 is still bouncing around too excited to sleep
And when he finally goes off I've got to rewrap 2 of the babies presents because they've ripped in transit

<sigh>

OopsDearyMe Sat 24-Dec-16 22:11:20

Lol why is it we do all the work, but the guys get to do the treat
My mince pie and babycham went down a treat, although the salted caramel liqueur was nicer. Next year methinks...

overthemoon1982 Sat 24-Dec-16 22:11:53

Yes.

Most worried that DD will wake before me and come down to find presents / open presents before I wake, as she sometimes does pad down looking for me, then return upstairs - and I on'y wake as she comes back up.

Considering sleeping on the sofa fconfused

bearsnumberonefan Sat 24-Dec-16 22:13:55

Father Christmas is just in the loft now, and has a 12yr old elf for help. Mother Christmas will stuff some stockings very soon. So excited!

AtSea1979 Sat 24-Dec-16 22:14:43

soon elf left last night to go to Sydney in our house, he left a few Christmas Eve treats like pjs and hot choc sachets and a story and DVD

cookieswirls Sat 24-Dec-16 22:15:53

Yes Santa has delivered ours fsmile dd 4 is fast asleep. Just dream feeding twins now. Had to burry the biscuit deep in the bin as it wasn't fit for eating once dd had destroyed decorated it ! Let's hope for a bit of a lie in in the morning

HardLightHologram Sat 24-Dec-16 22:16:16

Nope. The five year old is still bouncing around upstairs. I'm watching Die Hard for the second time this year in an effort to stay awake.

Chocolatecake12 Sat 24-Dec-16 22:17:15

The benefit of being single is that I get to have the treats after all the hard work!!
Yes it's tonight the Elf goes back to the North Pole.
I'm waiting for ds's to go to sleep - think it's going to be a late one....... but I'm watching the carols from kings I recorded earlier and drinking baileys!

OhHolyFuck Sat 24-Dec-16 22:17:42

Mostly done here too, presents out and stockings stuffed, just need to eat the Santa treats and paper up the door on my way to bed

ginsparkles Sat 24-Dec-16 22:18:01

Done here, elf safely back in his hiding place for another year. Stockings by the fireplace, presents under the tree and breakfast table all dressed and ready to go....

Merry Christmas one and all fsmile
