What temp to put the turkey on?

We normally go to my mums for xmas but she's working this year. I've never cooked a full turkey before, DM said to cook it on low overnight in the oven, what temperature would you class as low (gas mark)?

I just bung it in at about 200 for as long as it takes to cook. You can find various guides online as to weight of turkey / time - I bought a crown and mine has an estimated time on the front.

Personally I wouldn't want to leave my oven on overnight and it's always safer to cook poultry at higher temperatures.

35 minutes per kilo at 200 C (don't cook overnight)

If you have a meat thermometer, stick it into the fattest part of the turkey and leave it in there whilst it cooks. It's ready when it reaches 70 C.

Just realised you wanted gas mark. I would normally cook it at 200 C but if you're cooking overnight, I would probably say 1-2 is low.
