It started Tuesday at 5pm for me.

Finished work for 2 weeks (after 17 years in retail this is a huge novelty). Went straight over to my DMs who did us a lovely dinner.

Yesterday was chilling with my DD, house is clean and ready, food order arrives Friday, guests arrive Saturday.

Feel the most Christmassy ever!

Probably around lunchtime on Friday. DD2 is already home from uni, DH finishes up at work on Thursday. On Friday morning we are doing our food shop, collecting the turkey and picking up DD1 from the airport. Once I am home after all that Christmas can begin!

I feel like mine started yesterday when dd1 finished school. I am working Xmas eve morning but it'll be a nice shift because the boss is off so I'm not bothered about it.

Well to some extent we're already there as we had our first of 3 Christmas family meals yesterday, with much present giving etc, because of various people including us needing to be with different bits of family on the day itself.

However yesterday wasn't the start of 'Christmas' - it was a lovely family meal of course and we played consequences afterwards - but it won't be really really Christmas until I sing "Yea Lord we greet thee, born this happy morning" at midnight mass on Saturday night.

We both finish today, unfortunately we've got the work Xmas do this evening but as soon as we get home from that I think it will feel like Xmas! So excited, we are in need of a break!

I just did my last bit of paid work yesterday (and it involved carols and handing out mince pies to bemused passers by). The office is now closed. Also DH and kids got back from visiting family last night, I'd been on my own since Saturday. DH is working today, and I am entertaining his mother but then we will be all together for DD's birthday tomorrow.

When DH gets home from work tomorrow evening I hope.

In reality it will be at some point on Christmas Eve, after I've done the final food shop. I can't do it any sooner and it's stressing me out.

I'll have a few hours to myself. Woo!

Food is being delivered tonight, presents are wrapped. Just need a bit of peace and quiet.
