What sort of slippers do I want for Christmas Mumsnet?

I like natural as possible and they can be well above supermarket prices.

What are the go-to slippers of the season?

And while we're at it, I'm looking for some cheaper knitted boot style ones for teen dd. Any pointers for those?

Hey, the Christmas presents in the bibbity house are rock and roll aren't they Xmas Grin ??

You want Sheepland slipper boots. They are the shiz and they're made in Somerset.

I was just thinking about one of the first 2 pairs on here for dd, but will now peruse all your other recommendations first!

I am deeply in love with my Shepherd's

here

I have what look like Lena's or Krista's and I know they are not the most fashionable (I wear them at home under long wide legged trousers so you only see the front bit) but I've worn them for parts of every day for four years and they are still going strong.

I live in an old cold house with hard floors and they are orgasmically warm and comfortable, hard-wearing and (sorry for tmi) don't smell after lots of use and wearing them without socks.

I was going to suggest these for your teen but a lot of the larger sizes have sold out.

Esprit (but not as nice) here.

I need new slippers after I skidded down the stairs from top to bottom and ended up in a&e. Are any of these skid proof?

Sainsbos have some Uggs or at least Uggsalike. Not cheap. Was going to ask DH to get me some but refrained on the grounds of that would be too middle aged.

House boots (Ugg-ish) from Celtic Sheepskin. I absolutely love mine and live in them in winter.
On 2nd pair now, both prezzies from Dh after he was steered in the right direction.

I have reynards and the coldest feet in the universe! I have recently bought some coldbreaker wool slippers!
They are amazing. The most comfy and definitely the warmest slippers i have ever had and believe me i have tried so many over the years. I have bought 2 extra pairs already in case they go out of business and not even extortionate at about 20 quid a pair.
