Leaving out anything from this list would ruin Christmas in the Binary Household

Chipolatas bought from the butchers in a particular seaside town
Roast Potatoes
Yorkshire puddings (controversial I know...)

Anything else is fair game.

But the hallowed food is not be touched?

Red cabbage and bread sauce otherwise I sulk!

I've met people who think gravy is unnecessary. I had them killed and made into stock.

at my parent's house, the bird is always stuffed with haggis.

gives my dad terrible farts though, hence our annual Yuletide lament of "daddy ruined Christmas!"

we're starting our own traditions this year...

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely Fri 16-Dec-16 21:43:11

Oh no, I forgot the stuffing! Has to be sausagemeat, sage and onion.

Bluntness100 Fri 16-Dec-16 21:43:50

Got to be turkey, roast potatoes and sprouts,,,😝

INeedNewShoes Fri 16-Dec-16 21:44:13

Roast potatoes and parsnips

I wouldn't recognise a Christmas dinner without these on the plate!

You could change the meat, swap other vegetables and stuffings about, but if someone served a Christmas dinner and there were no roast potatoes and parsnips and no sprouts to be seen I don't think I'd cope!

Passmethecrisps Fri 16-Dec-16 21:44:14

And pigs in blankets

kilmuir Fri 16-Dec-16 21:45:29

Brussels and stuffing!

ALemonyPea Fri 16-Dec-16 21:45:46

Oooo Wiffle, haggis stuffing sounds amazing!

It's not Christmas without sprouts.

I always have a turkey, stuffing, sprout and gravy sandwich for my supper on Christmas Day. It's an absolute must.

exLtEveDallas Fri 16-Dec-16 21:46:24

Pigs in blankets.

We're not having them this year sad

ScarletForYa Fri 16-Dec-16 21:46:29

Everything else is filler.

FormerlyFrikadela01 Fri 16-Dec-16 21:47:08

Parsnips - Christmas is basically the only time I eat parsnips.

GetTheeBehindMeSanta Fri 16-Dec-16 21:48:14

Limitless gravy. It's such a big dinner, you need a lot of lubricant to help keep things moving.

SoftBlocks Fri 16-Dec-16 21:48:42

Pigs in blankets
Devils on horseback
Naice stuffing

Clankboing Fri 16-Dec-16 21:49:16

Bread sauce. I could eat a plate of it on its own.

hugoagogo Fri 16-Dec-16 21:51:49

Roast potatoes
Linda McCartney sausages

LobsterQuadrille Fri 16-Dec-16 21:53:08

Bread sauce. I don't care if that's my Christmas lunch in its entirety.
