I finished ours today - a bit early but we're having a party this weekend and it won't get eaten otherwise. Has anyone else done theirs yet?

I gave 5yr old DD a silver icing pen and some star shaped cookie cutters and let her get on with it.

Great cakes ladies!

No one here likes Christmas cake so I will be doing a chocolate Maltesers cake (looks like a Christmas pud) and for DH a creme pat tart

SwearyGodmother Fri 16-Dec-16 12:43:35

Wow badgers your dd is very creative!

Looks like it's just us being organised though

Backingvocals Fri 16-Dec-16 12:44:45

oooh, lovely. I haven't made a cake but really want to see what you've all done. I could show you the packet of shop-bought mince pies but that's not really in the spirit, is it?

Izzy82 Fri 16-Dec-16 22:19:59

These are my offerings. One for my mum and one for my Nan

dementedma Sat 17-Dec-16 08:40:04

Welliesandwings Fri 23-Dec-16 02:29:28

This is ours

KingJoffreysRestingCuntface Fri 23-Dec-16 02:39:08

I don't have a cake to share so here are some chicks warming themselves against a mug.

You're welcome.

Trumpton Fri 23-Dec-16 05:00:12

This is the one my DD did in honour of all the starry nights she has seen since the baby was born.

Trumpton Fri 23-Dec-16 05:01:50

And to carry the theme through our sunroom where we will have Christmas dinner.

WiltingTulip Fri 23-Dec-16 06:13:54

They're all lovely- are they fruit cakes or regular cakes?

Chottie Fri 23-Dec-16 06:33:46

Wow! what a lot of beautiful cakes.

DS will be decorating our cake today. It is a traditional Christmas cake with royal icing. The decorations on the top will be FC and a reindeer wearing shades and riding a jet ski, a Christmas tree and a red post box with a snowy top and a robin on it.

SwearyGodmother Fri 23-Dec-16 10:51:16

Ours is a fruitcake Wilting - I never thought I liked them as my parents make a really dark heavy one but mines quite light and quite moreish.

CoffeeMad18 Fri 23-Dec-16 11:44:29

Here is mine.

InTheDessert Fri 23-Dec-16 11:54:38

Mine is going to be plain white fondant iced. I tried to use the scraps to make a tree from stacked stars. It looked great (by my standards) when first combined, but over the past 2 days has melted and splodged into something I think is best for the bin fsad

Chottie Fri 23-Dec-16 14:54:42

Even more beautiful cakes! DS is icing ours as I type! fsmile

flapjackfairy Fri 23-Dec-16 17:01:02

I went for traditional snow scene reminiscent of my childhood!!

rhuhbarb4 Fri 23-Dec-16 17:03:30

welliesandwings that is lovely I am absolutely obsessed by gingerbread men and your cake is making me so jealous.

3penguins Fri 23-Dec-16 17:08:10

They are all lovely, but I like kingjoffreys irrelevant chick photo best.

YourFace Fri 23-Dec-16 17:11:44

Mine. Fruitcake, laced with brandy, topped with marzipan and brandy buttercream.

dmell13 Fri 23-Dec-16 17:14:30

Does this count? My Christmas wreath cupcakes wink

flapjackfairy Fri 23-Dec-16 17:35:23
