Play station 4

Hello, just looking some advice from anyone who understands games consoles.
Thinking about getting DH a PlayStation 4 as a combined birthday/Christmas present. No idea of differences between different packages etc. One was 500gb and one was called pro?
I just want it to not cost too much and be able to buy a game with it. Anyone seen any good Black Friday deals?

Smyths had fifa and another new game with the console for 199. Not sure if its still on but its a great offer

There's 500gb or 1tb versions - simply put you can get twice as many games to fit onto the 1tb version. The big games like Call of Dutype can take 100gb of space alone, so depends on how many big games he'll want on there simultaneously.

The Pro is the version for 4k TV's. If you have one or think you will get one fairly soon, I'd go for that one.

Best I have seen for the 1tb Pro is about £340 ... if anyone has seen one better than that, I'd love to hear about it!

Thank you! I have been searching all day for deals, Tesco direct had some good ones but many are out of stock. I'ok check smyths out.
I had no idea that the games took up space on the console!
£340 is quite a bit over budget but I don't think he'll need a pro one, I should imagine he'll be very surprised by any version and pleased!

Dh just bought the pro one for his birthday and gave his mate his ps4 which was about 2 year old. The pro is for 4k graphics on customers tv but according to sellers has apparently alot of issues at the moment where the graphics aren't working at 100%. I would advise against pro given that Sony isn't releasing an update to the issue for another month. I'm no expert in ps4 but don't go with pro yet until they fix the issues. I'm guessing they are all out of stock due to it being black friday week. Don't forget to get him a game for it or a ps4 wallet voucher so he isn't left sitting with a console haha.

My bil has been waiting a good while to get a good deal. He has just bought this

He tried to get a console when they were £149 but he says this is better as its the newer slim model and more games for his money. The 500gb relates to the memory. The console will get used a lot and bil says that its more than enough memory
