So not only do I do a family xmas eve hamper. I've now gone and made a 1st of December hamper to keep the children busy.

Tbf I've only spent about £3 extra, as the dvds, books, cups, hot choc and mallows, advents I usually have in or get anyway. I just thought it was a good idea to dig out all the xmas stuff and have it ready for December 1st so it's all put to good use.

We have in it:

  • all our advents
  • our collection of xmas dvds

-stash of story books and colouring books accumulated over the years.
  • hot choc, marshmallows and gingerbread syrup.

-santa sign
  • some xmas cards for school
  • choc baubles foe the tree and choc reindeer each

Need to add the stash of popcorn I have. So what's in yours?

Same as you but with Christmas bedding and pj's too- get use out of them all month rather than just christmas eve

We don't have one, it wouldn't fit in a wicker hamper and I can't see the point.
But on 1st December we get out all the Xmas decorations, music, DVDs, tableware, napery etc and the advent calendars. Kids have been wearing their Xmas jumpers for weeks. We do go to the pantomime first weekend in December and that's starts the festive season off together with decorating the house.
I don't get the hot choc obsession in mn, it's always mentioned, we have hot choc all year!

Mouldy cheese we only really have hot choc in the colder months. Yea ours isn't in a wicker basket it's in a £1 shop hessian sack. Here's a pic. I would have to do lots of individual baskets and it would put me off so Santa sack works best for us.
