Ds1's new footy kit has arrived, dd's bike and ds2's trike are on order at Halfords, deposit paid, pick up just before Christmas. New Lego kit for older two, couple of bits for ds2, annuals and stockings done.

Was thinking I can shop for remaining friends and family gifts now, knowing I don't have to stress about tracking anything down, thinking how lucky I've been that in 9 years none of the dcs have ever wanted one of the hard to track down, in demand toys.

Dd has just written a new letter to santa asking for a hatchimal Confused

You know you don't have to buy everything they ask for?

I just saw a post on another site where someone said they bought a hatchimal on the Italian amazon 3 weeks ago and it's arrived.

Nope, she'd be getting told too late if she were mine Grin Xmas list deadlines are the end of October in my house

My twins want one of these each.
I read the reviews and said no.

Hasn't anyone put up a YouTube tutorial yet on how to make a DIY hatchimal?

Maybe the OP wants to get her one!

DIY hatchimal Grin I think I could even start the trend myself!!!

I have told her they've been in such demand this year that it's too late to ask for one now. Just couldn't believe the hype toy has finally caught up with me! I only know about them as had noticed numerous threads on here and wondered what all the fuss was. Yes, I agree there are some dreadful reviews on them!

My DD loves hers.

It has been banned from upstairs so that it doesn't get shoved in my face at 6.30am being told what the incessant noise and stupid blinking eyes 'mean'.

Still. Marginally better than a Furby.

DD asked. I said no. We had lots of other bits planned and I thought it was bloody expensive and would disappoint her too. She wasn't upset at all.
