In our house DCs get lots of presents from santa (stocking filler type stuff and a 'big' present) and one smallish present from us.

WDYD? Do you buy as much as 'santa' as from you? How do you split it? Does anyone not buy presents from them and just do 'santa' presents?

Santa does stocking presents ( and the one from when we visit him) he 'checks' the rest but doesn't buy them...

Both ... but we do bigger presents now they're a bit older (8, 4)

Santa brings one present and the stocking. The rest is from Mummy and Daddy and family.

MIL hates this, she tries to do the whole Santa forgot to leave you these so left them here, which annoys the hell out of me!

Both - DC gets a stocking of a few smaller gifts and then a larger present plus few small gifts from me and DP. DC writes their Xmas wishlist and Santa chooses a couple off it.

First Christmas this year and he's 9mo so not really talking about Sa ta yet but I'll be doing for him what my parents did for me;

Stocking of stocking filler type things from Santa, everything under the tree is from me/whoever the tag says.

Santa just brings the stocking fillers. Everything else is from whoever bought it.

Santa does stockings. Little gifts like pens, Xmas socks, funky toothbrushes etc.

Everything else under the tree and from whoever bought it.

Both, Santa brings a stocking and 1 much wanted present. ( usually something that I wouldn't buy like this year Gooey Louie !!) and then from me and DH, Lego set and a computer game. I like our set up I think he takes for too much credit for our hard work !!

Santa does stocking fillers only. All other presents are from whoever bought them.

Stocking from Santa. All other presents from us/whoever gave them.

Fortunately, mine and DHs extended family all do the same thing. Pretending all the presents from other people came from Santa would be weird. How would the DC know tho thank them?

Santa does the stockings at the end of the bed and a few random small presents under the tree although we've been fading that out the last few years as there is always too much under the tree. We tend to not really buy toys during the year so they get a bit spoilt at Christmas.

Santa brings a stocking, 2 asked for presents & a surprise. The surprise is always something I disapprove of 😀

We buy them books and a wee present. I wish we'd done just Stockings and a surprise from Santa.

They usually ask for quite small things from Santa e.g. One year son asked for a transformer and buckaroo. They get "bigger" presents from over generous grandparents. We also give them
Quite large presents e.g. Bikes and kitchens for birthdays

Santa brings everything on Christmas morning just like it was for us as kids. I look back on my parents going to such lengths to give me what they did on Christmas morning and taking absolutely none of the credit and that level of generosity floors me.

I do say the contents of the Christmas eve box is from me, and that includes a new board game for us to play, so that he doesn't wonder why he gets a gift from everyone but his parents.

Santa brings a stocking and main present. We don't have any family so we are the only ones that buy them presents so Santa isn't taking all the credit! thanks to the bargain threads

When he was younger we always made our DS aware that his gifts were from us and also from family members & friends. Santa kindly delivered all the presents on our behalf.
This was also how both myself and my DH were brought up too.
I was shocked when a friend wanted me to change the tag on the present I'd brought for her daughter to say it was from Santa and not from us.

Santa fills the stockings, leaves some stuff to share e.g. dvd, board games on the hearth. Dds also do a letter asking for one thing and perhaps a 'spare'. They usually have half a dozen presents under the tree from us.

Santa brings a stocking, main present and a few smaller presents.

We give DS a main present and maybe another 3 smaller presents.

Other people's presents are definitely from them.

Father Christmas fills the stockings, the rest comes from real people. It's all a bit vague, as we do still talk about asking Father Christmas for things, but as DD is only 3 we haven't had any probing questions yet.

Santa only fills stockings here, everything else is from whoever bought it. Mine are all too old to believe in Santa but have stockings anyway Hmm

Santa brings a sack which includes chocolate, socks, top trumps, a game, toys, book, dvd and some other smaller items. We buy one "big ticket" present. This year it's a kindle fire for the big ones and a toy kitchen for the little one.

Everything from Santa for us, this is what I was told when I was young so I've carried it on with my children.

My eldest did question this once, I told her that mum and dad send some presents to the North Pole and Santa checks and delivers them once he's checked the naughty and nice list.

Santa brings everything but some things are sent to him for delivery (i.e. We send the gifts; he decides whether the recipient has been good enough to merit it).

Father Christmas does the stocking and one proper present.

We give main present.

Everything else is from whoever it's from.
