Are they students? I pad my teenager's stocking out with loads of stationery items ............ always useful.

Paperback/CD? (do teens still listen to CDs confused?)

Pack of cards? Those packs of quiz games that you can play on Christmas Day. I enjoy putting the stocking together more than the 'main' present (which tends just to be cash these days).

Endless supplies of Lynx deodrant etc grin

bigTillyMint Sun 20-Nov-16 09:46:21

This is what's going in out 18 year old's stocking so far;
Blu tooth shower speaker [so he can listen to his music in the shower without blasting it off his phone from 10 metres away!]
Nando's gift card and Nandos sauce and chip salt.
Marshmallow coffee syrup and Costa gift card.
Lottery scratch card.
GOT2BE hair clay and fixing spray.
Bottle of Rekordalig cider.
Adult Ladybird book - Dating.

Crispsheets Sun 20-Nov-16 10:19:48

Can you get the Nandos salt in a supermarket recklessness?
I've got him the Ladybird Hangover book to go with 10 different craft ales

TheGirlOnTheLanding Sun 20-Nov-16 10:34:00

Ear phones (DD1 goes through them at a rate of knots: am sure she's not alone)
Novelty flash drive (deciding between penguin and minion)
I'm going to do a trolley dash round Paper Tiger one lunchtime this week too, they've always got nice-but-cheap bits and pieces to pad out the stockings.

bigTilly Nanoblocks are like Lego, but tiny - so far harder to construct therefore not great for younger DCs. They come in designs to suit all interests (loads on Amazon) so you'll always find something to suit.

2 of my teens love them, the other gets frustrated and gives up.

recklessgran Sun 20-Nov-16 11:40:11

Crispsheets you can buy Nandos Peri Peri salt in Tescos.
Apparently great on chips! [YUK!]
No accounting for the tastes of teenagers......

Lurking for ideas, I have a DS (17 next month) and a DD (14.6)

When they were little we did the CEH (Christmas Eve Hamper) to settle them and mark the start of "off to sleep now" and the Stockings to keep them occupied at 5am. fgrin

Now their presents are ££ and tiny, they have a small but expensive pile of presents. I'm doing a Dec 1st Hamper so they can use the presents throughout December. It's things they'd need anyway:

Haynes teenager manual (but I'm going to look at the Ladybird ones too0

Sweary colouring in book + nice pens (that will be used in homework)

Some of that Below the Belt for DS if he doesn't stop trying to thwart my Christmas Plans the little toad ..........

Bulldog wash/scrub/mask

Jar of sweets (big Kilner jar which I either pinch for the kitchen or they keep for pens/hair things/cotton wool)

Both have PJs (winter ones) that they can start wearing on the 1st
Fluffy socks for DD
Robe for DD

Nail varnish (DD) little bottles

Chocolate Advent Calender - nobody is too old for a calander fgrin

Named Nutella for DD (I sent off last week so I'm hoping it'll be here for the 1st, if not she can wait till Christmas)
