Your top not-famous books for baby/toddler storytime

I have a number of babies/toddlers to buy Christmas presents this year, and I want to get books for them that they probably don't have already.

Assuming that they already have the very hungry caterpillar &co, what would you recommend?

By storytime I mean
"sit with child and read book out loud before they go to bed"
rather than
"give book to child, who then tries to eat it"

It's a present for the parents really - they feel it's important to read out loud but get a bit bored with the same books all the time (and the children in question are still too small to insist on having the same book every night, luckily)

These are favourites all from when my kids were younger and now the grandchildren love them also

Six Dinners Sid by Inga Moore

Cockatoos , All join In and Mrs Armitage on wheels (Quentin Blake) (we all know these by heart and still even now quote them .. my son is 26!)

The Three legged Cat Margaret Mahy (my son's absolute favourite along with Meg and Mog and Megs Veg )

A later one which has become a great favourite with DGCs is:

Toffee's New Friend.. Sally Chambers ( my 3yr old Grandson has to have this at least twice at bed time when he stays with us!! )

My 14 month old really enjoys the Meg and Mog books, especially Meg on the Moon and Meg's Eggs. And Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy (adores Scarface Claw)

Another one with toddlers who love Meg and Mog and Frog and Toad.

My three year old also loves the little children's music book with buttons to hear different musical instruments as you read the story. Lovely illustrations too.
