Anyone else seen it? Guardian link

I loved it. The song I could take or leave, but loved the sentiment behind it.

Ah I love it! The snowflake on the track made me chuckle. It's a bit more 'real' in showing the stressful run up to Christmas! Really good.

I have never disliked a Christmas advert though, so I'm probably easily pleased. I think people just look for fault sometimes for something to moan about. Or have expectations that are too high!

Apparently it's only men who are busy at xmas.

Far too long. I got bored half way through.

Yep too long but nice enough. James Cordon made a good job though. Not as good as mog.

I failed that's interesting, I got the opposite. I felt it was a truer representation of a modern family, i.e. it's not just up to women to sort Christmas on behalf of everyone else anymore.

I liked it! Not a fan of Corden though. Adore the Waitrose ad this year.

I liked it.

OK, it made me cry - as a sweet thing (I am in much need of a cathartic release of emotion at the minute - so I am glad it was just a few tears and not a sob-fest!). The music is nice and upbeat, and it was not all about the store it was advertising - I really liked the Granny counting the pennies Xmas Grin

Gosh, that went on .... forever. And if the greatest gift is "Me" presumably Sainsbury's are not at all worried about the resulting drop in sales as we don't bother buying all the "non'-me" stuff on their shelves Grin

I got bored halfway through.

If they're trying to make it representative of real life, why do these adverts always depict a snowy Christmas? I can't remember the last time it wasn't about 10 degrees on Christmas Day.

We had snow at Christmas within the last 10 years... I remember it 'cause DS was at infant school or just before he started, but we were definitely at his 2nd house... I worked Xmas Eve, XH didn't but DS would have broken up from school by then........

Anyway, I prefer the M&S ad but Sainsbo's is better than JL - probably because the song is more uplifting.

I enjoyed it - I can't get worked up over the politics of a Christmas ad. I love that not every retailer is trying to make me cry this year!

I have just stumbled on the Harrods Christmas ad - it's very cute. Still prefer Aldo's Kevin the Carrot though..

I prefer Kevin the Carrot. Too long, and I'm not a fan of James Cordon outside of Gavin & Stacey.

i didnt even recognise it was James Corden, it was long but the sentiments are really worthy

Well it's no Mog. It's ok but I much prefer the John Lewis one this year.

I liked it a lot better than John Lewis.

My nine year old said, when I asked him about John Lewis 'but it's boring mum - a badger and two foxes on a trampoline I don't get what is Christmas about it'. Have to agree.

If you showed that in the summer and stuck a BBQ in the garden it'd still work (maybe that's it - it's going to be follow the bouncing dog through the seasons...)

I didn't see the 'only men are busy at Christmas' either - I too saw it as the man also has to shop for presents and not leave it all to his wife/partner so he's rushed too. If you'd have seen a woman doing it all you'd have moans that it just shows only women having to do all the rushing about I guess.

Didn't like it at all. But then I detest Cordon. I like the Waitrose robin!
