Hospice/Charity Weekly Raffle Presents

For the past five or six years, I have bought my parents a weekly entry into their local hospice prize draw. It is marketed as a Christmas present by the hospice, and comes with a stuffed toy snowman or reindeer type thing. Mum and dad like this arrangement, as they are adamant that they don't want more "things", don't really want to go out anywhere, like supporting a good cause and enjoy checking their numbers each week to see if they have won.

However, the hospice have written to them asking them to renew (they write to them direct, even though I pay for it) and, according to mum, being somewhat aggressive in their marketing and saying things like because they don't contribute enough, they are no longer eligible to receive the hospice newsletter. And other such comments, which have wound my mother up no end and she no longer wishes me to buy these tickets.

She is however happy for me to do a similar thing for another charity. Does anyone know of any that offer this sort of thing?

The Air Ambulance do it, but when I signed up I never heard anything more from them about the raffle (though they took the money out of my account, all the same.)

Thanks. I will have a look at that. My parents did win £750 once, when I first started doing it, but nothing since!
