Hi. We have an 11 year old who has just started secondary school.
He is very much into his gaming but wanted to get him some different items also for his Christmas presents.... what's everyone considering buying this year? #help

No help at all - sorry. But bumping your post so that I can hopefully pinch some ideas, as your son sounds like my nephew!

So far for my 10 and a half year old DS I have got
PS4, appreciate you may already have this
New games and controller for PS4
Cuddly gorilla
Favourite chocs (lindor)
a gorilla hot water bottle (it's freezing in our house)
Nexo Knights Lego
Lynx smellies
bath fizzers
Guiness book of records
A box set of football books
A football keepy uppy thing (?)
New under armour for training
New track suit/ goalie gloves and shins pads etc.
Is your DS into any sports or has a hobby? It's always handy to be able to give them stuff surrounding their hobby.

GorillaPod bendy tripod thing for camera phones plus mini remote device
this book about the chemical elements
Nerf Vortex Aero Howler
this Pokemon guide (I bought one for someone else and it's really good value)
Pokemon t-shirt
Nano Bricks ring-tailed lemur OR Yoda (haven't decided yet which one for him/DS2)

+ I am waiting for the Clash of Clans / Clash Royale annual to go down in price!

Agree Guinness book of records good idea; DS1 (nearly 12) won a copy of the 2017 edition a month or so ago and has spent hours reading it.

I'm really struggling this year too! Mine has also just started secondary I'm will be 12 in the New Year, so far I've thought of:

A new football
Smellies in a fancy wash bag
Football trivia book
New tracksuit (he's obsessed with Nike hmm )
Nerf gun set to share with his brother

Struggling to think of anything else at the moment!

Do you mind me asking how much the Sonos was???

beardedladydragon Wed 09-Nov-16 03:04:18

The sonos was £160 (got the Play One). We already have two at home but this will be for his room and for me to have on upstairs

DameXanaduBramble Wed 09-Nov-16 04:19:26

I bought a lava lamp as a little extra, they get great reviews as pressies!

Kelsar Wed 09-Nov-16 16:28:15

£160 isn't too bad.
Where does he play the music from does he have a tablet or phone which is compatible?

Yes I have just ordered him a blue and green (he loves blue and green) lava lamp.

He has a phone so we put the app on that. We have a Spotify subscription which he will be able to access too.
