Legoland at Christmas

I'm wondering if anyone can advise or knows how it works without me having to phone someone.

We have annual standard merlin passes and thought we might go to the Windsor site in the run up to Christmas. I know you have to pay for the brickathon thing and to visit santa BUT if you don't spend the extra cash is it still christmassy enough? has anyone been? does anyone know? thank you

You can't go without paying the extra, so you won't get in with your Merlin pass unless you have a ticket for the Bricktacular.

We went last year and loved it. DS was 4 and the Father Christmas was so good. We're going again this year but they've increased the price by £20! So I'm not sure if it will live up to it because I very much doubt they've added £20-worth of extras! They only open part of the park and it is very Christmassy, everything covered in fake snow. Adults get a free hot drink (loved the mulled wine) and a free cookie, kids get a decent lego present and to make a lego snowflake to take home.

When you see FC, the child chooses an elf who leads them through Christmas trees to a wooden cabin (to hide the fact there are multiple cabins!), then you go in to see the big man. They take a photo you can buy but are also happy to take photos of your family on your phone too, so it's not too much of a hard sell for the photos.

Was it super-crowded Stitch? my DC would love it but I don't know if I can face it if it's heaving...

It is really Christmassy and lovely. My two were 8 and 6 and loved it. Although more than half the rides are closed which is a shame.

It didn't feel crowded at all, I think they limit the amount of tickets.

They have more rides open this year, including driving school which will please my DS!

Thank you stitchosaurus. That was very helpful. Sounds fabulous to be honest. Always nice to have jolly Santa 😃
