I've got myself a reputation with DSS for doing brilliant stockings, but now he's 17 I'm starting to run out of ideas. Anyone else fancy exchanging lists?

Previous years have included:

- Obscure/amusingly named foreign sweets
- USB chargers- extra long/extendable/light up/bright colours
- Portable phone charger
- Touch screen gloves
- Erasable roller ball pens
- Slushy cup
- Hair product
- Miniature fragrance
- Haribo
- Pringles
- Personalised Nutella jar
- Giant packet Jaffa cakes
- Xbox Live points

I always struggle for teen DS. So far this year I've got a nice phone case, some chocolate road signs (he's just started driving lessons) and a BBT mug.

Mine will be getting
novelty condoms (glow in the dark)
unusually named craft ales
Personalised keyring
Shot glass
Sweat band
Chocolate sprouts
Book about Auschwitz
Photo frame

And other things when I get inspiration! He gets cash as his main present so his stocking overspills into small gifts which don't necessarily fit in a stocking.

Some things I've got so far for my DS (18) are:

Personalised Marmite jar
Marmite chocolate (bleurgh!)
A keyboard Henry Hoover
Tank egg cup
Touch screen gloves
Key ring light saber shaped torch
Magazine for his hobby

Sadik Sun 30-Oct-16 07:59:42

So far I've got the grand total of 1 pair fluffy socks, and 1 pair owl post earrings for 14 y/o dd, so reading with interest smile (Light sabre torch and touch screen gloves now added to the list of things to look out for)

The arse/face sponge went down well one year

I want to cut down on tat this year, so trying to sticking to consumables or stuff they need. Although I will probably fail! On my list;

Shower gel (Lynx/Soap &Glory)
Silly socks (supposed to have plain black for school but they try and get away with designs that don't show smile
Silly or fancy/branded underwear.
Something for their hobbies
Slogan t shirt
Headphones /earbuds
Something for their room - cushion, poster, fairy lights

I discovered rhianwebaie yeaterday from another thread on here. Amazing for teen boys in particular!

I browsed for hours and spent lots! It is 20% off this weekend too.

Typing error!

i LOVE that my mum kept doing me a stocking until she died when I was 20 - always the best bit of Christmas smile.

I always had nice underwear rolled up small, a CD (guess this would be an iTunes voucher now), pair of gloves, decent chocolate, a good pen, coffee and hot chocolate sachets.

Lots of fab ideas, thank you. Might have to buy novelty condoms just to watch him blush!

Another tat avoider here!

Mine get things like:
jar of Nutella or Marmite, bottle of coffee syrup, bottle of grenadine
They are over 18 so either cider, mini vodka etc
Starbucks card and chocolate coin
Body spray, hair spray, shower gel etc
Baking stuff
Rolled up magazine

Sadik Sun 30-Oct-16 13:08:40

Rolled up magazine is a good idea, Remus - I usually put a book in for Christmas morning entertainment, but all dd's wish-list this year are hardbacks, so more proper present material (and less stocking-shaped).

Superdry keyring
Costa coffee/ Starbucks/ pret voucher
Wind up radio
Small torch
Hand warmers

Just reaching the teenage years so watching for ideas. Our stockings have always had some of the food/treats that I don't generally buy, like marshmallow fluff, so I'm hoping to carry on the tradition.

So far DD is getting a running belt, no more excuses not to take her phone & keys with here. Ebay had loads around £3.

For my brother last year I did a cycling bits, which would work in a stocking
Puncture repair kit
set of tyre levers
Wallet Ninja
[[ phone mount/bag]]
Some high viz wrist/ankle straps

Speaking of food treats that I wouldn't normally buy, my two (adult) still get some of those mini cereal boxes in their stockings (and still fight over the Coco Pops).

Lots of weird sweets, blind bags! , earrings, poster.

bootygirl Sun 30-Oct-16 17:41:52

In stockings here:
Novelty socks i.e. Batman or fluffy socks
Tubes of minstrels or smarties in each
Marvel comic
Magazine in mine!
Vouchers for game shop
Vouchers for cinema
We usually get them a box on Xmas eve but last yr I ordered it on line as local book store did nt have "I am a bellend"!! Youtuber 🙄🙄🙄

Mine both got revision aids last year - highlighters, coloured pens, revision cards and bright post-its.

New toothbursh every year!

DS just started uni so will be getting some food items.

Gift cards wrapped in a little box. Also a tiny picture of a magazine cover in a little box to show a subscription. Things from Hawkins Bazaar, mini can of coke, chocolate sprouts, Nando's sauce.

Megainstant Tue 01-Nov-16 06:33:51

These are brilliant thank you. Dd14 still loves nano lego. Make up, nail varnishes for both dd14 and dd17. I am getting them both a front door key as they don't have one!
