I've got myself a reputation with DSS for doing brilliant stockings, but now he's 17 I'm starting to run out of ideas. Anyone else fancy exchanging lists?

Previous years have included:

  • Obscure/amusingly named foreign sweets
  • USB chargers- extra long/extendable/light up/bright colours
  • Portable phone charger
  • Touch screen gloves
  • Erasable roller ball pens
  • Slushy cup
  • Hair product
  • Miniature fragrance
  • Haribo
  • Pringles
  • Personalised Nutella jar
  • Giant packet Jaffa cakes
  • Xbox Live points

I always struggle for teen DS. So far this year I've got a nice phone case, some chocolate road signs (he's just started driving lessons) and a BBT mug.

Mine will be getting
novelty condoms (glow in the dark)
unusually named craft ales
Personalised keyring
Mug
Shot glass
Sweat band
Chocolate sprouts
Book about Auschwitz
Photo frame

And other things when I get inspiration! He gets cash as his main present so his stocking overspills into small gifts which don't necessarily fit in a stocking.

Silly socks (supposed to have plain black for school but they try and get away with designs that don't show Smile
Silly or fancy/branded underwear.
Something for their hobbies

Something for their room - cushion, poster, fairy lights

i LOVE that my mum kept doing me a stocking until she died when I was 20 - always the best bit of Christmas Smile.

I always had nice underwear rolled up small, a CD (guess this would be an iTunes voucher now), pair of gloves, decent chocolate, a good pen, coffee and hot chocolate sachets.

Lots of fab ideas, thank you. Might have to buy novelty condoms just to watch him blush!

Another tat avoider here!

Mine get things like:
knickers
socks
jar of Nutella or Marmite, bottle of coffee syrup, bottle of grenadine
They are over 18 so either cider, mini vodka etc
Starbucks card and chocolate coin
Body spray, hair spray, shower gel etc
Baking stuff
Rolled up magazine

Sadik · 30/10/2016 13:08

Rolled up magazine is a good idea, Remus - I usually put a book in for Christmas morning entertainment, but all dd's wish-list this year are hardbacks, so more proper present material (and less stocking-shaped).

Just reaching the teenage years so watching for ideas. Our stockings have always had some of the food/treats that I don't generally buy, like marshmallow fluff, so I'm hoping to carry on the tradition.

So far DD is getting a running belt, no more excuses not to take her phone & keys with here. Ebay had loads around £3.

For my brother last year I did a cycling bits, which would work in a stocking
Puncture repair kit
set of tyre levers
Wallet Ninja

Some high viz wrist/ankle straps

Speaking of food treats that I wouldn't normally buy, my two (adult) still get some of those mini cereal boxes in their stockings (and still fight over the Coco Pops).
