Stunt scooter ds10

DS10 has asked for a stunt scooter for Christmas to replace his 'babyish' one and I haven't got a clue where to start and when I asked him he said one where the wheels don't make a loud bang when you jump on it!! Help!! Looking to spend about £70 but don't know if that's a reasonable amount. Should also mention he has aspergers and is desperate to fit in with the right brand. I know it shouldn't matter but he is totally fixated on it at the moment.

Razor is the brand i go for its a highly popular and robust brand. My kids put their scooters through hell and razors are the only ones that have stood up to it.

I just asked DS9 and he said the ones like the Razor one are definitely 'babyish'

This is the style of stunt scooter he and all his friends have.

DC used to have MGP scooters. I think they were more than £70 though. About £100?

You need to get one that's not foldable if that's the style that he has now. The cool brands when ds was into it were MGP and Grit.

The Argos one would be seen as infant school style here. Skatehut type specialist shops are your way forward and would stock the cooler brands. Extra points if you buy a scooter and customise it with parts like grip tape/stunt peg/wheels/clamp so it's more individual. We have a local bike/scooter shop that recommended parts. You don't have to buy everything but it's considered cool to have a scooter that nobody else has thanks to changing one part. What part depends on his tastes like favourite colours.

ds 12, stunt scooter was £100+ MGP but it's had lots of use for 4 years, wheels/axels/grip tape were replaced last year but frame is still solid.

Thanks for everyone's help. Will try skate hut and see if I can get some extra parts.
