Has anyone seen any Pokemon toys / gifts? My DS is now in to this and I have no idea what to buy for him.

Thank you flowers

Would he like the cards or do you mean toys/games/soft toys, etc. There is a Nintendo 3ds game coming out in November : Pokemon sun and moon, if he likes that. Chacon cards has booster tins with cards and other boxes with cards in. Plush toys can be bought from various places online

Chaos cards I mean

They also do various t-shirts and hoodies. Also a Pokémon monopoly game. If playing Pokemon go there are also books to help that or separately books like encyclopaedia of different Pokemon (DSS has been a fan for years - the two new ds3 games have been on his Xmas list since they were announced!)

He just got in to it and not big one games or cards. More like figures / pokeball(??).

Thank you

DD wants pokeballs that pop open and have a little pokemon creature inside. Think they're called thrown n pop.

There is more Pokémon merchandise than you can possibly imagine. Cuddly toys, clothing, key chains, tiny figures, build your own models, Pokémon monopoly, books etc etc etc.

DS2 has a tub of tiny Pokémon figures that he just adores. And also a Pokémon guide book (which lists hundreds of the things) that he peruses all the time. He loves little pokemon danglers that he attaches to his book bag at school.

The card game is pretty easy to learn (you can buy a starter set that teaches you the game). Some branches of Waterstones run children's Pokémon clubs where they can learn how to play and have matches against people their own age.

DS2 really likes making Hama bead Pokémon. You can google for loads of templates to follow and make little pixilated Pokémon. You need lots of different colours of beads (and tonnes of black) but DS2 loves doing this. I just print him off the picture and he makes loads of Pokémon.

He's also got a learn to draw Pokémon book that gets lots of use.

You can also download a free Pokémon tv app to watch episodes from the million series of the cartoon and also some of the hundreds of Pokémon movies.

Hi sorry not read the full thread just in case it's been said but smyths are stocking them from the 7th of November and you can preorder them to make sure you get them and Argos have some trading cards etc in stock just now just got my DS some

IGIG Wed 19-Oct-16 22:32:31

Thank you very much for those ideas. I will check Smyths. Argos has pokeball but not the one he currently favours. It's hard to keep up!

Kind of geeky shops (by which I mean those selling comic book and anime merchandise) often carry loads more (and more interesting) Pokémon stuff than the usual toy shops.

Forbidden planet, for example, have really cool Pokémon woolly hats.

JellyWitch Wed 19-Oct-16 22:36:43

The learn to draw book and the handbook are massive hits here and cheap! The figures get constant play too. Unfortunately my son has now realised that there are Pokemon games on the Nintendo DS and wants one of those!!

dementedpixie Wed 19-Oct-16 22:38:56

Also try toysrus

dementedpixie Wed 19-Oct-16 22:39:21

And there is loads of stuff on Amazon

gemdrop84 Thu 20-Oct-16 23:22:59

If you are on Ebay check out the pokemon go loz building blocks kits. Basically Japanese version of Lego. I ordered 4, 2 each for the dc. Both got 2 different pokemon. About £3.70 each. Look really cute and good quality. Took a couple of weeks to arrive. There's also some look and find books on Amazon, like where's wally but with Pokemon. Also ordered 2 of those.

gemdrop84 Thu 20-Oct-16 23:24:50

I'd also advise checking out any local comic cons, I trade at these and there's always traders selling pokemon items, soft toys, trading cards/figures and accessories etc.

Stiddleficks Thu 20-Oct-16 23:30:14

I've ordered a pikachu cuddly and one in a pokeball and 24 little figures all from China on eBay and theyre really good quality and came quickly too.

Giratina Thu 20-Oct-16 23:44:29

I'm sitting on my hands trying not to order my friend pikachu. We already have 3 cuddly pikachus and a pichu but not a talking one.

wonderingsoul Fri 21-Oct-16 01:41:36

Yes try ebay i got 5 main pokemon teddys for 15.

140 figures for 12 pounds

And 46 mini pokeballs with finers in for 8 pounds.

Ebay is your friends here they will have loads of cheap stuff mainly from china so make sure you order with at least a month waiting time.

My daughter is also Pokemon mad, we preordered the Nintendo 2ds moon and I also bought the talking Pikachu and the annual (quite good!) from Smyths.

Argos is selling plushes too but they are random, plus stock seems to vary a bit at my local ones - I check quite regular because that's the type of toy mine likes.

I also bought a Pachirisu off eBay blush there's loads of stuff there you have the patience to look through the tons of Chinese shit tat.

I'm done Pokemon shopping for this Christmas!

Giratina Sat 22-Oct-16 10:50:30

I've just twitched and ordered the damn pikachu after it went out of stock in Argos and toys r us and only tesco had it in stock.
