non gadget present for 8 yr DS

I am completely stuck for ideas! We are getting a iMac desk top for the family for Christmas but intend to get 'bits and bobs' for the kids too. Any ideas for 8 year old boy? He likes sports, art, (mainly gadget or tv stuff)

Sharpies, along with pencils etc a desk to draw on?
Pokemon plush ebay have 5 for 13 pound or so.

I've just got DS (7) this watch that isn't a watch that he's been after. You buy little blind bags for £2-3 to put in it. It was £16 and he's been desperate for it.
Not sure what the fuck it does actually but it's called a Yo-Kai watch. It's his birthday at the weekend so I'll report back!
