Wow - I love this and ordered a tonne of stuff on the 'invoice' option as only came to £65 so didn't want to do account business.

But I was refused - I have an ace record apart from a stupid £35 mobile phone default (now paid) from 2012 that I'm waiting to expire.

Oh well, thought I, they must have a 1 strike means you're out rule.

So I apply instead as DH with his permission of course - he has nothing bad on his file, is always accepted for credit cards etc, earns a lot but HE was also refused!!!

I really really want this stuff - any ideas what I can do next or do I need to move on and pay normal prices for everything instead??

Maybe you should ask why you've been refused or check your credit history.

A friend of mine was turned down from a loan. She believed she had a great credit score - it turns out she had been cloned and someone was running up £££££££££££ worth of debt in her name - which is why she was declined.

You're saying you wanted to pay cash instead of setting up an account with them aren't you?

That's why they've turned you down, they want people with not so great credit to run
up accounts with them Hmm

Not necessarily anything you've done either though, some company's don't offer credit to certain postcodes. One I used to work for did this. Check your credit on noddle it's free.

They won't be able to rip you off with extortionate interest rates if you pay it off. I used to buy from Studio years ago but stopped when an entire order turned up and it was all cheap and nasty looking tat. I hope they've improved.

Try the other option but pay it in full as soon as you get your stuff maybe? But I'd also shop around first incase you can get the same stuff cheaper on Amazon, etc.

Hmmmm - I checked my file via Martin Lewis credit check club v recently so it's not that.

Maybe it is because I didn't apply to open an account? And perhaps the stuff was going to be bobbins anyway - it was insanely cheap - mostly personalised things for kids - any other ideas for stuff like that? NOT the notinthehighstreet.com as that is mega bucks.

So can you not just pay for an order with studio? So you have to have an account with them?

eBay for personalised stuff

Buttercups certainly looked that way to me - I prefer to pay but the 'invoice on goods' option seemed to be the only way not to open an account - but they still refused me!!

100010 (sorry if that's wrong I'm guessing) thanks for the eBay tip
