Christmas

What do you really want?

I've had a pretty rubbish year with my husband merrily running up a load of debt without me knowing.

In the depth of it all (with two small children in the mix too), I've certainly lost a bit of myself.

I know that people will soon start asking what I want and I have no idea who I even am but would really like to be able to ask for really selfish, just for me presents.

So, after that long ramble, what do you really want for Christmas?

All I really want is 37 week bump followed by a healthy baby delivered in January. Last Christmas we discovered I'd had a mmc. I want Christmas back. Other than that I'd like a new kindle.
Selfish 'just for me' presents....any brand of make up/bubble bath/ body lotion/ clothes that you'd never buy yourself. Mil.always gets me Moulton brown because she knows I love it but wouldn't buy it myself.

To be living in a new home that I can host my family for Christmas in. My sibs both live in Australia, my DF is currently going through chemo and I haven't seen my family much this year. I miss them. I'd love them to be with us for Christmas- and with a bit of luck our flat will sell soon and we can move and start working on these goals.

100 million pounds
A chestnut akhal teke
A nose job

Realistically?
Money. Probably quite a lot less than 100 million pounds. And some makeup. Maybe a new laptop?

World peace... seriously though, if you're looking for something for yourself I'd either go for a luxury item I wouldn't buy myself e.g. posh candle/ cashmere jumper, some thing I know I'd enjoy e.g. certain books/magazine subscription, gardening tools or (if budget a bit bigger) an 'experience type gift (for me it would be a massage/meal or some sort of crafty course e.g. stained glass making,

Sorry to hear about your crappy year Mallow. I know the stress debt brings. Sad

In an ideal world I'd like:
Lush stuff
Pretty notebooks
Pretty pens
Nice gin
A day alone with money for a book and a sushi lunch

I'd be so happy. Smile

A beautiful bike, I have a vintage releigh in the shed that I can't get parts for anymore and my runaround hybrid that I use for exercise but this is like my vintage but modern, if that makes sense, it's a ladies bike with a basket and panniers for doing my shopping .

I know I'm getting it because I've put the deposit down myself Grin

I've just become a stay at home mum leaving behind a full time career. I have two small children.

I want massage vouchers, treatment vouchers, nice things just for me. A beautiful thing from Toast or Hush.

I like gifts that either keep giving or that I can look forward to, and always look for things I wouldn't buy myself so they feel like a treat.

Tickets (for a show / theatre / gig)
Magazine subscription
Spa day / treatments

FIL always buys my a selection of lush bath bombs because I love them but they don't do just them in a set.

What would make you feel better OP? New clothes? Makeup? A chance to get away for a day? Rather than try and work out who you are, concentrating on what would take a bit of stress off your shoulders (this is why I always ask my mum for make up or beauty products - it makes me feel better to have a tidy face but it's too expensive for me to treat myself with).

more than anything I want my fertility problems to go away and to be announcing a pregnancy at Christmas
