how do I tell dh I don't want silicone cook wear?

So I had a 'new to me' reconditioned Aga this year. It's is most wonderful & the best thing we have ever bought. Other than a house, obv. I have told family (not dh as we tend to buy each other things we wouldn't buy for ourselves; clothes, jewellery, experiences etc) that I would like Aga cookware for Christmas or Aga vouchers as they have specific cookware ranges that fit neatly into the Aga. I am not prescriptive or expecting these gifts, but only if people want to get me anything. I have lots of other cookery related paraphernalia so aim to slowly get some nice Aga bits. Anyway, dh, God love him, has used my Amazon account to get me some silicon bakeware & a heinously expensive Le creuset tagine! ConfusedNeither of which I want or need. I have sufficient silicone bakeware to last a lifetime & I have 2 lovely cheap & cheerful tagine I bought in Morocco in a previous life. Do I tell him I know what he's got me? Do I act all surprised on the morning then tell him I am going to send them back? I'm not being a brat but £140 on a freaking tagine is madness in my book! And it isn't exactly a secret as I was emailed all the details! We do tend to do Christmassy surprises, and not email details of what we have bought each other! Slightly disappointed 5 minutes on Amazon was all he could manage for me when I have done absolutely everything else towards Christmas but there we go. Anyone else have any unsurprises coming their way? D

I thought you were going to tell us about your sexy silicon cook's outfit and how unreasonable it was of your DH to buy it for you.....

I'm disappointed now Xmas Wink Xmas Grin

Tell him and ask for a Thermomix!

It's tricky. I think tell him. You have received the emails so there is no point pretending it's a surprise. Tell him delicately though. It might cause a lot of upset (or a humungous row) so better today than Christmas Day?

Maybe he's bought it for his mistress, or for someone who didn't go to Morocco in a previous life?

Are you sure it's for you!

Return it if you don't want it.

Try telling him that you're going to throw the tagines away as they're taking up space and you never use them so they're a waste of space... Then watch the panic on his face.

Intercept the amazon parcel to get the packaging to keep to return it.

Ask him why on earth he has bought his parents/sibling/ friend/etc a ridiculous tagine for Christmas as you're really not sure they'd like it and hasn't he realised that you barely use yours/like yours but not enough to want to upgrade or buy again if you got the chance to go back in time and then see what he says.

I feel your pain - dh is lovely but not so good with presents - a couple of years ago I got a set of disco lights from him (despite providing a ling list of things I'd like, as requested). I think it was because he wanted a reason to buy stuff in Maplins. I was horrified later too to discover they weren't a £10 jokey sort of present as I'd thought but were proably closer to £60. And there were so many things he (or I!) could have bought and loved with the money rather than ugly dust gatherers Xmas Sad

OP - I feel your pain. Perhaps you could buy him a drill for Christmas (similar to one he already has) and be surprised when he is not delighted with it!!!

I would keep all wrappings for the cookware and return them after Christmas.

OP I specifically asked for no exercise equipment or clothing this year. I just found a receipt lying casually on my side of the bed for guess what, yes a women's running top. Just so you know you are not alone in your unsurprised disappointment.
