So I had a 'new to me' reconditioned Aga this year. It's is most wonderful & the best thing we have ever bought. Other than a house, obv. I have told family (not dh as we tend to buy each other things we wouldn't buy for ourselves; clothes, jewellery, experiences etc) that I would like Aga cookware for Christmas or Aga vouchers as they have specific cookware ranges that fit neatly into the Aga. I am not prescriptive or expecting these gifts, but only if people want to get me anything. I have lots of other cookery related paraphernalia so aim to slowly get some nice Aga bits. Anyway, dh, God love him, has used my Amazon account to get me some silicon bakeware & a heinously expensive Le creuset tagine! Neither of which I want or need. I have sufficient silicone bakeware to last a lifetime & I have 2 lovely cheap & cheerful tagine I bought in Morocco in a previous life. Do I tell him I know what he's got me? Do I act all surprised on the morning then tell him I am going to send them back? I'm not being a brat but £140 on a freaking tagine is madness in my book! And it isn't exactly a secret as I was emailed all the details! We do tend to do Christmassy surprises, and not email details of what we have bought each other! Slightly disappointed 5 minutes on Amazon was all he could manage for me when I have done absolutely everything else towards Christmas but there we go. Anyone else have any unsurprises coming their way? D
