You don't have to answer if you are Scottish as I assume it will mostly be steak pie grin

Roast beef probably with all the trimmings .... Not on the scale of a Christmas dinner though and probably not with the starter either

I came on to say steak pie, and then I read the opening post...wink

We're torn between salmon or roast lamb.

Oh, another one in Scotland too!

NYE party leftovers. So bits of roast chicken, bread, cheese, grapes, pizza etc.
Got to the age where the strawberries and grapes and juice disappear faster than the booze!

Am debating between snack-style pickings (cheese, crackers, antipasti, crisps) or going all out dinner with trimmings.

Watching with interest for inspiration fsmile.

Takeaway on call on NYE (NHS worker) so will be having an easy day on NYD.

Christmas dinner with my family as with in laws for Christmas this year. Different starters, sides and puddings so still fab

MyFriendsCallMeOh Sun 20-Dec-15 14:08:04

Steak and lobster tails on the BBQ (we live in Texas). Haven't decided on sides yet but dessert will involve meringue.....

I'm usually desperate for something spicy by NYE, so maybe Thai curry or maybe maybe crispy tofu with Chinese pancakes and plum sauce etc.

No idea yet, but as I shall be home alone (and I am NOT complaining !!) I shall plan a delicious feast of all my favourite food and drink and not have to share with anyone. grin.

Buffet at the in laws.

Beef or ham on 2nd Jan

I tend to nod towards my Scottish roots so salmon on brown bread, scotch pies or steak pie and cranachan.

It's our last blow out day and will be salad from then until we feel relatively healthy and five stone lighter!!

I'm not entirely sure yet, but I am thinking maybe roast rib of beef with all the trimmings.
