Help! What the hell do I buy DH?!

Please help! I had spoken to DH who said he would let me know why he wanted for Christmas. I told him what I wanted (it costs £50), but he came up with nothing for himself. Budget it up to £100. He initially suggested a skydive but they are really expensive! He then suggested an amp for his bass, or a new waterproof jacket, or a penknife, or a remote controlled aeroplane...
...he is the kind of guy who is happy to go without, doesn't really buy himself much and can't think of anything that he REALLY wants. He said to me tonight that maybe I could just surprise him (he hates it when I say that to him!). Well, I've already got him a remote control helicopter (£12) and a bottle of cinnamon JD (£18) because he's been wanting to try it.

Do you have any suggestions? What are you getting your other halves??

Yours sounds outdoorsy.. does he cycle? I bought mine a really good pair of winter cycling gloves a couple of years ago with removable silk inners.. they were a hit..

he has a bread baking dome and other baking stuff coming this year.. oh and socks, jumper, sweeties , books cds etc (oh and some jazzy swimming shorts as he needs them for his hols and much better than the old ones he insists on wearing each year )

Thanks for that! Yeah he is outdoorsy and did cycle a lot last year but not so much now!! I'm thinking to get a penknife and a few other little bits perhaps. Gah. Men are so tough to buy for! I wish Fleetwood Mac were touring, he's desperate to see them live!

My husband has got a racing licence starter pack, the official 2015 mille miglia book (we saw it this year ), and a barn finds book.
I'm probably going to get him some new jeans too.

Is he doing something else instead of cycling? Maybe something for whatever his new hobby is - if it's only been less than a year, is he fully kitted out for the new hobby?

You can get a decent Swiss Army knife and have his name put on the handle - I did that for mine a few years ago and he loves it

Why don't you get him a jacket from mountain warehouse or some where similar-so many bargains and then get him indoor skydiving experience -it's hilarious if not quite as dramatic as the real thing!

I've got dh a new watch, socks, bubble bath(he loves baths but wouldn't buy it himself),a wallet ninja, t shirts, a new jumper/fleece, some pork pulling claw things and an arduino car kit. Might also get him some nice gin and beer. Skydives are expensive! I looked a few years ago for someone's present and couldn't believe it. Could you get him a different experience, some are cheaper?

I looked at goape for him aswell. It might be something your husband would like? I think it was £39 for a treetop walk thing. So not quite a skydive but something adventurous and cheaper. They have other things too.

I've got my DH a Fitbit, some zip up headphones as he always breaks his, a wallet ninja, a Star Wars t shirt and some chocolate. I still need to get him something else and I don't know what. Last year his favourite present was a onesie - it was a bit of a joke but it is so cosy and he loves it!

I've also got my dh a Fitbit (want to prove to him that he gets more sleep than he reckons he does), some digital kitchen scales, a Michael McIntyre DVD, a 'Find My Keys' keyring and will probably also get him some more single malt whisky. Plus a few bits and pieces to open, as he likes unwrapping things! He's mentioned some gym stuff to wear, plus nice shirts.

I have got my dh a voucher for clay pigeon shooting. All our friends have bought one for their husbands so they can have a day out together. Do you have anyone he could do an activity with?
I have also got him pants, socks, the new terry Pratchett, a bike repair kit, some Boden pj's and a light weight fleece. He is a lucky boy this year!

I've got mine a self-assembly aviary for the garden. First we'll have all the assembling, then the painting and varnishing, then the perch and box arranging, then the stocking with birds, then the hours spent watching the birds. I shall hardly see him. Isn't that great!
I've also got him a colouring book and felt pens for the odd moment when he's in the house, don't want him doing silly stuff like starting conversations with me.
And a fleecy warm gilet to encourage him back out to the garden because, really, he's better off in the garden (where I'm not).

Ive also got my DH some olives infused in Gin (from Waitrose in the refrigerated deli section - they have them in nice jars right now, also other sorts also ) ive wrapped them in a festive polythene bag and they are currently stowed at the back of the fridge (he wont look there )

I was going to suggest indoor skydiving too but someone up thread beat me to it. I've done it and it's great fun, my 65y old mum did it this year and my 3yo dd wants to do it as soon as she is old enough (next year) so it's a good one for all ages.
