It's about the only new Christmas tradition I started when I had dc apart from getting a real tree

We all have new pjs (this year all different colour checked/tartan ones)
Different chocs for each of us
A new Christmas book to read at bedtime and a Christmas DVD
Oh and a special bath bomb for me

I started this last year with my 2.6 dd. I put in;
Xmas pjs
Xmas DVD - Father Christmas
Xmas book - jolly Christmas postman
A pack of reindeer food
An Xmas colouring or activity book
Chocolate coins
A special tree decoration - this is my favourite, each year (so far just two) I get one of the princess decorations from the Disney store.

Keeping it small this year - a onesie for each DC (big hero 6 for DS, minions for DD) and a DVD to watch (an old cartoon called Quest for Camelot, which is kind of a present for DH really as he loved it when younger). Although I'm tempted to twitch on a jigsaw...
I do often get them a tree decoration each but I haven't seen any I really like.

99p Christmas jigsaw from card factory

Dressing gown ( usually pj's but doesn't need them)
Sachet of hot chocolate.
Chocolate reindeer ( as it was meant from Santa and left it on the side)

You can do it cheap or go all out, just make sure to tell people who go Hmm about it to get lost. Xmas Grin. waits for the Scrooges to appear on thread

My mum just gave dd one today, it has a pouch of hot chocolate, some mini marsh mallows for hot chocolate, a little cookie for Santa, some elves donuts which are mini Cheerios with icing on, mini candy canes and little chocolate santa's, some reindeer food that looks like saw dust and glitter to sprinkle up garden path. A xmas cracker that contains a pretend stamp and some nice paper to write a letter on. Each item is individually wrapped with sparkly cellophane and with a cute little poem attached.

Lady my mam knows makes them herself for about £5 and though dd stopped believing years ago she loves it.

If you're making your own, some ideas could be

Xmassy bubble bath.
Pyjamas/slippers.
Xmas DVD.
Xmas Carols cd.
Some popcorn/sweets for with movie.
Nice stationary to write note to Santa.
Christmassy colouring in/ activity books and felts. ( they could do one as a gift for Santa)
A stocking for hanging.
Treats for Santa/rudolf/elves. We used to whiskey out when I was little so a miniature bottle maybe if your Santa likes a tipple too :)

I love the idea and might make myself one up :)

We're doing superhero pjs, a couple of DVDs (Nativity and the Snowman and the Snowdog) and a lindt reindeer each.

I still need to add some sort of xmassy craft that can keep the dds busy while I do food prep, and something to encourage them into the bath, maybe a bath bomb or bath beans.

We usually just leave things for Santa but DC's are of an age that a DVD and popcorn would be fun.

What's Arthur Christmas like for a 7&4 age?

I'm feeling inspired! Always thought I'd be in the Scrooge category.

Igotapea, I just looked up Arthur Christmas and I would be interested for my two. I could PayPal you costs at the least.

Arthur Christmas is a great film. My 4 year old watched it twice today.

We're doing our first Christmas Eve box this year. I started a Christmas Eve new board game tradition last year, and then I saw some Christmas minion pyjamas that I thought my son would love, and it kind of escalated from there. I was going to get a Christmas film, but then decided that he'd love the minions movie more. So now we all have matching minions pyjamas, the movie, some hot chocolate and minions haribo, a board game and puzzle, and a fuzzy felt Christmas book. I'm really excited about it.
