Our Elf is going to bring a new one on Christmas Eve, so I'm after some ideas.

We have quite an extensive collection already Xmas Smile I don't think they make Christmas films like they used to, do they? Or am I just showing my age?!

Nope not like they used to! I love miracle on 34th st. But that's a classic so I hope you've already got it!

Home alone? Gremlins? It's a wonderful life? A. Few classics 😊

Polar express is really lovely!

And Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Olive the Other Reindeer, The Littlest Light on the Christmas Tree.

I'm sure there used to be a good Christmassy film almost every year, or so it seemed. Well, at least this year we can all feel warm and fuzzy watching Krampus Shock

Oh, and we have Home Alone and the Polar Express, and It's a Wonderful Life. DCs are only 4 and 8 so Gremlins out!

Thanks for the ideas though, keep them coming....

When was the last really good Christmas film? Was it Arthur Christmas?! That was 4 years ago. There is definitely a gap in the market!

I absolutely love Rise Of The Guardians and it never seems to get a mention. It would possibly need to be checked for a 4 year old though as its a bit dark in places.

I love White Christmas although it's reeeally long so we don't watch it every year.

Not a film, but for me it ain't Christmas unless I watch the Vicar of Dibley Christmas Special (the one where she has several Christmas dinners) :o

Oh yes Rise of the Guardians is fab! Pitch is quite a scary character though so agree it would be worth checking for a young child.

We already have Rise of the Guardians (was that released as a Christmas film, I wonder?)

Oooh, I'll check out Father Christmas and Groundhog Day, thanks. I don't think they'd last through White Christmas.

Yes ROTG was on in December - it was the first film DD saw at the cinema (she was 5). I took her and DSDs, and we went for a pizza hut buffet after - which became an annual tradition :o

ROTG was out in 2012 - so I think a proper Christmas film release is long overdue!

National Lampoons Christmas Vacation is my all time favourite, I think it's hilarious. Suppose it depends on the age of the small people in your house l!

Have you got the nativity films? They are definitely favourites in our house.

We also like saving Santa, although it does drag a bit in the middle!

I love Christmas With The Kranks but I feel it might be a bit boring for children.

I used to love Groundhog Day when I was young. I watched it recently and didn't think it was as good as I remembered. It's not Christmassy either as it's set in February, it just snows. Xmas Smile
