Is it up yet? (your tree that is!)

We put our trees up today. One in the living room and one garish, tinsel covered explosion of colour in the conservatory (kindly decorated by my 10 year old who thinks less is not enough :o).

We have lights everywhere, a family of light up penguins and a little scene (Santa, reindeer, sleigh, gingerbread house) on the bookcase.

We have another six boxes of Xmas decorations to root through tomorrow :o

I'm feeling very excited now!

Yep, we have a tree in the living room, tasteful fireplace decorations and DS has a big tree in his bedroom with slightly less tasteful decorations and some lights around his window.

Not yet. I was thinking about doing the outside lights (icicles over the bay window and lights on a tree) on Friday and then inside on the weekend of the 12th/13th but son#2 came home from school this afternoon complaining that he'd seen so many trees in houses on his walk home (he had a twilight lesson so it was dark when he walked so noticed the trees) so why didn't we have ours?! He's 15, I thought he'd grown out of wanting the trees up early! I'll probably do those on Friday now too.

We did ours on Sunday. Also have a reindeer display with little snowman figures. I need more decorations on the tree though and a new topper

It's up but not decorated yet. I can't decided if I want to go and get the stuff out of the loft now or wait until tomorrow.

I've had a real tree from ikea. It smells amazing!

Yes, ours went up over the weekend. Big tree in the front window, twiggy tree in the hall. Glittery wicker star on the front door and a few hanging snowflakes fitted around the kitchen 🎅🏼

Great photos!! We were in home bargains today for lights (really good value) but went in the Range to get some candles and then spent ages looking at all the tree decorations and ended up buying the penguin family. They have some gorgeous things in there.

We've never had a real one before and it looks amazing!

Yes.
We wouldn't normally, but dd is 4 on the 12th and she's started to notice all this crap.
We had a christmas tree festival at church, so she got to.put one up then. She got super excited about the whole thing so I agreed we could put it up at home after tgr festival finished.

It's fine by me - advent started on sunday, so it's not too early.

She's not bothered about it being before her birthday so I'm not bothered either

No not yet. Hoping to start this weekend but we are in midst of redecorating two rooms which has involved opening u a fireplace to have a gas stove installed and everything is more complicated than we thought and is taking longer. One room was painted today but the colour is far too similar to what was there already so I'm now on the hunt for another colour. Sigh.

I was hoping to get started this weekend - we go totally overboard so it takes days - might get the living room done on Sunday. Or at least outside lights.

Put ours up yesterday ds1 helped. We decided that with ds2 and ds3 being 1 and 2 year old we put the tree on the dining table in the kitchen dinner the went ott wit ceiling and wall decorations then I can keep some sanity while they are up and not have to stand guard of the tree all day. All though the ds1 thinks am crazy for putting it in there haha.

Mines went up tonight and I feel super xmassey. My husband's working away and miss him loads so it's cheered me and the kids up and making us more excited for him coming home as it will be nearly Xmas!
