I am thinking as gifts for teacher / grandmas
But my only Point of reference is the hideous coconut ice I made 40 years ago?

Truffles are dead easy, heat cream and pour over chocolate, cool, roll into balls and the cocoa. Google recipe but it's as simple as that.

Fudge! I could eat pounds of it, literally. I'm pretty much lactose intolerant now, due to migraines, so I can't any more. Sad

Marzipan fruits? They cost a fortune to buy but are very easy to make, just a bit fiddly. They do look lovely though.

I second truffles, super easy you can add lots of things to them, my kids love them !!.
Makes 36
300g dark chocolate,
300ml double cream,
cut the chocolate up, add cream, I melt them together in the microwave in 30 second blasts, mixing after every blast till all melted and warm. Then add a good glue of any liqueur you have in the cupboard, (baileys, amaretto, contreau is nice). Cover Leave in fridge over night to set the mixture and then, get a spoonful, roll in a ball and then coat with cocoa powder, nuts, crushed buscuits, mix of brown sugar cinnamon (basically anything you have in !! )
Leave again to set in fridge for the night,
Package in cello bags with a nice ribbon.
Cheap and tasty,
Aldi moser Ross? Dark chocolate is good and not tooo expensive.

Know your audience, lots of teachers won't eat handmade goods and they don't have much shelf life either. I imagine they get a lot of chocolates.
