Tesco Direct - long delays

Word of warning if you are ordering from Tesco Direct. I ordered some lego advent calendars on 4th November to pick up from my local store 2 days later. I get an email saying they are delayed, and then another saying they are further delayed and to check online for the status. I phone them up and find that they are having long delays because of the Clubcard boost. I have phoned them twice since. I have now been told that the items are packed but they are still not dispatched. Apparently they are having problems getting things packed and sent out to the couriers. I suspect this will only get worse as we get nearer to Christmas.

Yes the toys I ordered in the boost a couple of weeks ago took 12 days to arrive, fine as for Christmas but worth bearing in mind if ordering for a birthday etc.

I have had some horrendous experiences with Tesco in the past and was warned of this last week when I ordered some bits. In the end, I ordered Sunday eve and picked up on Tuesday. I was pleasantly surprised!

Still not dispatched. I am now wondering if they are lying to me. Will be phoning them again today...

They've got messages on the website now about delays

Yes I know demented, but that says 5-7 days delay. I ordered on 4th November - that's 14 days ago!

Fingers crossed that you get them before 1st December!

Allegedly they are on the way to the store. The website is still saying not dispatched. I was on the verge of ordering them from elsewhere but hopefully I won't need to

You've reminded me I am still waiting for a tesco direct delivery. Ordered on the 1st November, had an email last week to say it would be here last Wednesday and still no sign. I should keep better track of what I've ordered and received really. I do so much online shopping this time of year, I find it hard to keep track of it all.

Still no email. Argh. They've got until this afternoon otherwise I will be phoning again.

Right, still no email. Phoned them again. Their system shows it's at the store despite no email. They phoned the store and apparently they have it. So if you are waiting for an email, might be worth phoning to check whether it is actually waiting for you at the store as their systems seem to be f**cked.

My order worked the other way, was warned of delays when I placed the order, and told it would take approximately a week to arrive at store. Two days later (and an hour after I had left the store) and I got an email to say it had arrived.

I got an email this morning telling me my order was out for delivery and would be ready to collect later today. Just had another email apologising for the problems with the order and stating that they have sent a replacement. Confused
Logged into my account online and found that the original order had been delivered to the wrong store. Not even a local one!
