Is anyone planning their wrapping scheme yet?

This year I'm thinking of trying out black Kraft paper decorated with chalkboard markers - I've attached the pic that inspired me, just found randomly on Google Images - and gold accents. Previous years I've done brown paper with greenery, stripes with a candy cane tied on, etc. I thought this would be good as I don't have to worry about tags - although I am making matching tags for the bottles of homemade booze Xmas Grin

What about everyone else?

Is anyone planning their wrapping scheme yet?

I did the brown paper with candy canes a few years back!

I made tiny Christmas stocking out of felt with a snowflake on front and the persons name on the white bit at the top instead of labels one year, they were just big enough for a quality street.

No idea what to do this year though, so also looking for inspiration!

That's lovely.

I wrap my siblings children's presents in a theme for each family, this year one is having different coloured snowmen, one candy canes and the other santas (easier for posting presents and sorting them into each box).

Grown ups are having brown paper with holly, DD brown paper with snowmen and the stocking / father Christmas gifts are brown paper with father Christmas on.

I do like the black paper in your pictures, may file that for next years birthdays

i dont really theme my wrapping... tends to be what takes my fancy and is cheap!!!

they had blackboard gift tags in poundland the other day, i thought about buying them till i realised dds would just rub out the chalk and draw pictures on them causing christmas chaos when i forgot whose presents are whose!!

A theme..…..?!?!?!?!

In our house the paper is ripped to shreds and not really looked at.

I just use a different colour for each dc - this year will be red, gold and silver.
One year my very creative DD wrapped presents in white paper with silver sparkly bits, red ribbon, and a tiny white fluffy feather and a little silver bell. They were too nice to open.

Grin SirChenjin you're in the land of the Seasonal Loon here!

nocutts that's a good point...gunshot your tiny stockings sound lovely, I bet they were a hit! And glen that's a really good idea having different wrapping for different recipients.

My theme is use up whatever paper is left from last year and then buy whatever is on offer in the closest shop.

And try to get some done before I get too pissed on Christmas Eve

Last year I did a tartan theme & think I'll do it again this year.

My theme is cheap and cheerful. I like a mish mash of colour under my tree.

I have a stamp! And brown Kraft paper, and red and white twine.

Very excited.

Oooh oooh!! I have a theme!!

Aha! I knew there would be others like me!!

The kids are getting penguin paper with an abundance of red bows and curly red ribbon.

Adults are having cream paper with tiny holly leaves, cream and gold ribbon and cream kraft tags with holly embellishments.

I reckon that this will be the last year I get to ponce and faff with wrapping - next year I will have a baby to contend with, so I fully intend to go to town

Xmas Grin

Brown kraft paper here with little brown tags tied with red and white ribbon. I have stamped everyones names on the tags and stamped all the packages with snowflake and do not open until 25th December.

I do Smile
It's blue, silver and red.
Papers are a snowy London scene (from M&S), metallic red, and hoolgraphic silver and navy. To wrap I have turquoise bakers twine and red ribbon, and some plain kraft labels which I will decorate, and some cute stickers I found in Tesco today.

I haven't decided what color theme my Christmas will have yet :)

One year I did brown paper with pale blue ribbon and white seashells. It was gorgeous.

I'm boring, one type of wrapping paper per person means I don't need to label them Grin

Two years ago I did thick brown paper and candy canes.

Last year I did thick brown paper, with the recipients initial cut out of red paper with white spots.

What a fecking ball ache that was.

This year I'd really like to use old fashioned retro 70's/80's paper like what we had when I was a kid- anyone seen any?

My theme is "explosion in a paint factory", I just buy whatever catches my eye, the more multicoloured the better and mix it up with whatever's left from last year. Same with decorations, I like multicoloured everything, rather than tasteful colour schemes.

Last year I did copper paper with brown bakers twine and luggage tags.

This year I'm thinking navy paper with copper ribbon and bells.

My theme is to colour code the stocking presents. If you are a bit squiffy on Christmas Eve it's good not to be trying to work out whose it is.

That's your lot though Grin
