Ok, I'm starting new and fresh and completely revamping the post of link mainly because I'm useless with copying and pasting with the tablet and can't work outhow to copy and paste parts of things . If there's anything you miss from the old op or think it would be good to add please let me know on here or pm me. I realise I have left off some possibly popular Amazon stocking fillers (apologies, it's taken me ages to get this far) so please post if there are any you'd like me to add to the list. Similarly if any of the links or codes etc no longer work then let me know by putting it in bold or I might not spot it Thanks.

I'm not putting a huge amount of Amazon links when things suddenly go down as prices fluctuate so often.

Once again thanks for all your help this year, and remember it's not a bargain unless you actually need it

If anyone is looking for a good Christmas DVD to have by them, I can highly recommend Tom and Jerry - Nutcracker Tale - which is currently £3.50 on Amazon.

My dc and lots of others I know still love it even though they're now 10 and 7 (and the eldest has been watching it since he was about 3 or 4, so it's always been around for ds2). It's a classic slapstick Tom and Jerry film - lots of laughs, very little talking.

It's particularly good when you want something on in the background but don't want something that you need to sit and watch or listen to - because it's basically the music of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite and the story is interwoven with that of the Nutcracker Tale. So you get to have nice music, the dc get to hear and see something sort of educational/cultural without realising it, it's beautifully drawn and lots of funny stuff to watch so if you do watch you can dip in and out without needing to watch all of it. I often use it in the car on a long journey around Christmas time as it means that I don't have the dc's dvd blaring in my ear and distracting me - much easier to tune out when it's music on, so I can talk to dh or have my own music on. It makes a nice change from lots of the films and programmes on tv these days that are very full on, loud, noisy, etc - it's a nice change of pace and doesn't really date.

Having said all that - if you do want to watch all of it then it's easy and engaging enough to do so too or if you're tired and want to have a doze while the dc play in front of you and the dvd Xmas Grin

Thank you for the Tom and Jerry tip, my oldest two (5&7) have just discovered them, so it's a nice idea for them!
