DD is 6.5 and would like either roller boots or heelies for xmas. Can anyone advise which is best? Also any tips where to buy from and sizing would be appreciated. Thanks!

Wheelies sat doing nothing in our house but roller boots are a big hit. We got ours from toys r us for around 30 quid.

Wheelies are ok for an hour a week maybe but I'd worry about the moment causing muscle problems. Roller skates are fun and great for fitness

Can't comment on Heelies as my DD's haven't had any interest in them. Both of them have roller boots though. We went for Rio Roller as they had good reviews. Size wise, they come up roomy. If you opted for a size bigger in order to get wear out of them, it wouldn't be a problem as you can lace tightly and pad out with thick socks
Cannot recommend //www.skatehut.co.uk enough to buy from! Royal mail screwed up our delivery and Skatehut customer services was first class. They bent over backwards to ensure we had the boots in time for DD1's birthday.Kept us updated the whole time too

Skatehut are fab, we got dcs skooters from there. Their stuff arrives with the logo emblazoned across the box though so beware!

Yes roller boots would be best. We got wheelies for my 8 year old and it took her a while to get the Hang of them as the posture needed to wheel feels odd!
