I love nativity scene sets and have several including one I made myself.
My most recent purchase was this one
I also love but don't yet own this one.

I asked my mum to knit us one! I figured that as the knitted ones were 6 inches high they were unlikely to get swallowed by any small people, they're pretty indestructible (unless you took the scissors to them) and it was nice to have something she'd made.

No offence Fish but is that second one a joke? I've never seen anything like it before. It looks like a puzzle
I used to have. I like the duck one though.

The Cenacle have nativity sets, although many are currently out of stock - presumably they will come back into stock nearer Christmas.

Traditional style

Children's sets

I also have the pattern for the knitted set if anyone is interested in borrowing it...

I We have the Lakeland one. I do get very fidgety when small children start touching it!

We also have a little people nativity set. It's great, chunky characters. I let children touch that one Grin

We I made ours, when we were visiting my wonderful MiL. Was very easy, all in felt and lovely, if I do say so myself. Looks a bit like this only more 3d and our manger is more reminiscent of a Moses Basket, as I could make legs sturdy enough.

The Lakeland one is gorgeous; I have coveted it for years and so has my nan. I think I might buy us both one this year!

I thought Williw Tree was handcarved (because it says hand carved each piece) but that's just the original casts made out of clay. Which are then shipped off to China to be made out of resin. They even have it in the faq. What a bloody rip off.
