The countdown to Christmas 2015 has already started. I've ordered some clothes in the next sale so even the present buying has started.

This time I'm more determined to keep buying throughout the year, and keep posting here regularly.

Well done! I will join you again in July! Buying early and being prepared saved me so much stress and during December. In fact, December has been brilliant. I've had an amazing Christmas and saved so much money by buying things in the sales etc. However, from the 29th of December 2014 (pay day) I am on a mission to save as much money as possible. I have a small overdraft that needs to be paid off (costs incurred from moving house and decorating, not Christmas.) I need to start our Summer holiday fund, Christmas 2015 fund and, even more exciting, baby number 2 fund! So no more spending for me!

I'm not, not yet! We are planning to start trying next year though. I've told dh I want three mortgage payments saved up before we start trying. When I had dd I was shocked at how much we missed my salary despite having saved for baby stuff before getting pregnant. This time I'm determined to have a chunk saved up for boring things like bulls so I can enjoy mat leave without worrying!

Happy birthday ChestyDog Xmas Smile

Well, I think I deserve a round of applause. I'm very pleased with myself:

Got my slim pop-up tree which was meant to go on the landing, but it's in my living room now on top of the big real tree. It was half price, so only 15 quid.
I've also ordered another one, a white one, for the landing at Argos which we are going to collect tomorrow. DS can go mad on it and decorate it in tinsel and tat.
So, next year I shall have three trees (and I'm looking for one in our bedroom but don't tell DH Xmas Wink ).

I've also bought tons of lights for various trees, around windows etc.. All so cheap as half price, some of them were only £2.

Also got other crap stuff like a reindeer, plate and mug for Santa and crap for DS who likes tat.

Oh, and I have bought my first stocking filler for next year.

I think that beats any of my records Xmas Grin

Wow mama that is organised! I need to make stockings more of a priority for next year rather than leaving them until last.

Welcome to the mad club, Kinky Xmas Grin Good luck for tomorrow.

I didn't even intend to leave the house, only asked DH to get that tree and he called me up saying "come over it's all 50% off". I never got out of jammies and into clean clothes that fast Xmas Grin

Did anyone watch My Crazy Obsession the other day? There was this woman with 160 odd Christmas trees. She is my heroine! I want to be like her. Three is a good start to the collection, her house looked so beautiful!

Yes! The one who got snow from the ice cream van, hilarious Xmas Grin

I'm eyeing up tree number four now for our bedroom. It's plum and grey with black furniture. Am thinking of a silver hoop tree. So trashy, but after watching that programme I can make it proper nice. What do you think?

Your day sounds perfect, Chesty.

We wanted to get new fish tomorrow, but not sure depending on how much of the snow sticks. The place is an hours drive away (it's a huge fish selling place and worth it). Funny how the cars / buses / vans in Lapland coped without problems and we get worried by an inch or two.

Can I join? I lurked on the Christmas threads most of 2014 and even posted on a few. I'm planning on popping out later today and might make a start on next year's stockings and Christmas box which always have socks, vests, undies and a christmas onesie in.

I planned and bought ahead all this year and like Loki had a really relaxed and stress free December. I'm hoping to repeat it for next year Smile

I usually can't stand the big Xmas countdown, but next summer I will be joining you ladies! This year I was shopping up to Xmas eve and was completely disorganised due to being ill. Next year I'm going to have everything wrapped and ready to go by early December so I can avoid the crowds and last minute courier worries!

Welcome all.

Some of the things i ordered from the next sale have arrived already. I've ordered a cardigan each for DDs 1&2, plus 2 rugby shirts for DS for next Christmas, and a few bits for now.

No snow here, it's been wet, windy and miserable since yesterday teatime.

Does perfume go off?

So many good box set bargains out there but I'm not sure they'd be safe to buy now for next Christmas?

Should be fine. I've still got some DH bought me 4 years ago (only wear if we go out) and it still smells the same.

Sales were poor, so didn't get anything! Will keep my eye out over next few weeks as supermarkets clear out cards/wrap.

I need to make a list of who I'm buying for and start to pick up odd things.

How many days is it until Christmas now Xmas Wink?

Where are you going to Chesty? Sorry if I missed it somewhere.

I spent far too much on Christmas for next year. New DH must really love me, we have agreed on five (!) Christmas trees next year, all with their individual theme. Next November can't come soon enough, I'm so excited need a life For now it's all going into the loft, boo Xmas Sad

Is it only me who has enough chocolate to last until Easter? I mean, seriously, I have two cupboards full. I suppose I've been starving myself for the last 12 weeks to look perfect in my wedding dress, but even that amount is too much for me. Xmas Hmm

While in town today I've also bought the second stocking filler - reindeer / Santa / snowmen socks for DS to fit him next winter, woohoo! Xmas Grin
